Good morning from our Florida radio station.

Hurry back, everyone:

Latin George-Shadowboxer was great.

edgar, Mr. Tambourine Man was wonderful.

What a funny commercial, Region.

Hope I didn't miss anyone, y'all.

Two versions of the same song for this morning.

First, "the king":

Hurry back, Latin George. Glad you like those two songs.

edgar, That quartet doing Paris Blues was great.

Two versions of a great musician who was born today.

First, a tribute:

Now, Jose himself doing a verion of a song that my friend Brucie (RIP)did so long ago.

Never get up that I don't look at all of us in New York with Art Blakey.

@edgarblythe,
You sent me searching, Texas. Here's the trailer to the movie. Don't know Old Turkey Buzzard by Jose.

@edgarblythe,
Didn't know Life in Prison by those Byrds, buddy, so once again thanks for the introduction.

How about some smooth jazz by The Four Freshmen, y'all.

Now, David Bowie, but first some info:

David Robert Jones (born 8 January 1947), known professionally by his stage name David Bowie is an English musician, singer-songwriter, actor and arranger. Bowie has been a major figure in the world of popular music for over four decade.

Now, one of his songs:

@edgarblythe,
You know, Texas, there was a time that I would not have liked that song, now I do. Odd, no?

Here are some more angels.

The Sons of the Pioneers are top notch, in my book.
Speaking of changing our minds about songs, I hated this record as a teen, but I love it now

Way back when I was kid, the rodeo used to come to Boston Garden. They'd
have the usual rodeo stuff (I was nuts about bullriding!) and some TV cowboy
star as a headliner. One year it was Roy Rodgers who sang some songs with
the Sons of the Pioneers.

Man, that was a long time ago!

Funny, edgar. I think that may have been changed to "...at the bottom.." Thanks for your comment, buddy.

Latin George, My mom loved those sons, and my dad was a cowboy.

How about some classical now.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PtIHBCuR-Q

and, y'all, the lyrics.

a short version

none but the lonely heart
Can know my sadness
Alone and parted
Far from joy and gladness
Heaven's boundless arch I see
Spread about above me
O what a distance dear to one
Who loves me
