good morning from here in our Florida radio station.

hbg, Loved LaPaloma and the Telephone polka.

Latin George, Crazy Rhythm is one I sang so long ago, and some woman wanted me to teach her how to phrase it Rolling Eyes

edgar, hurry back as we always enjoy what you play on our radio.

Today is Vivaldi's birthday, so how about a flute tribute.

Alex, welcome back. I did one too many hops and broke by hip. Thanks for the memory, my friend. Remember, it only takes TWO to tango. Razz

edgar, Love It's Too Darn Hot.

Ah, I love Rudolph Valentino and his tango. I became fascinated with him when I saw the remake with Anthony Dexter.

Here's another night tango.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love that Desert Song. You sent me searching concerning Gordon MacRay. He has a fabulous voice.

Love this one as well, Texas.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I really liked The Texas Bluebonnets doing that Texas song.

Just found out that Mario Lanza did One Alone and I found out this about the great composer.

Sigmund Romberg (July 29, 1887 – November 9, 1951) was an Austro-Hungarian composer who spent most of his adult life in the United States. He is best known for his musicals and operettas, particularly The Student Prince (1924), The Desert Song (1926) and The New Moon

Going to say goodnight with Mario:

good evening all !

quite a few " musical " birthdays today .

i'll start with Paul Mauriat .

Quote:
Paul Mauriat (French: [pɔl mɔʁja] or [moʁja]; 4 March 1925 – 3 November 2006) was a French orchestra leader, conductor of Le Grand Orchestre de Paul Mauriat, who specialized in the easy listening genre. He is best known in the United States for his million selling remake of André Popp's "Love is Blue", which was #1 for 5 weeks in 1968. Other recordings for which he is known include El Bimbo, "Toccata", and "Penelope."
