Uh-Oh. It's Woden's Day again. Here's Johnny Cash to explain the problem:

Missed edgar's Love Hurts by The Everly Brothers. Good one, Texas.

Our pushman is on a vegetable kick. Will listen to them all later, Brit

@Letty,
There are so many recordings of John Henry that I don't have a favorite - just accept every one as if it was a different song.

@edgarblythe,
and while the king was looking down, "the jester" stole his mighty crown. Love Mr. Tambourine Man, edgar.

I recall driving through the Big Ben Tunnel and seeing a statue of John Henry. You're right. There are many songs relating to him.

How about some Blood, Sweat, and Tears:

I saw that one by "the man in Black" was also done by those guys

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by Leonard Cohen, edgar. More synchronicity, because today is Smokey Robinson's birthday, and here he is with The Miracles

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I don't know Sitting in the Park by Billy, but it was a good one.

Ah, that one by Seal reminded me of SealPoet. Miss him.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. Only have one sister now, and she was dating a guy named Buddy, so she introduced me to this guy:

edgar, Loved Sixteen Candles.

Latin George, Waking up to 10,000 Maniacs is unusual. These Days is one that I didn't know, so thanks again for the introduction.

It's hard to think of Phil Silvers being musical, but he helped author Frank's song.
Nany Wilson - smooth as always. The song title reminds me of :

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for your comment, edgar. I don't know who Phil Silvers is, but thanks for the info on him and Frank.

Loved that one by Buffy. It's the best one that I have ever heard by her and thanks for the song, Guess Who I saw in Paris.

Today's is this great actor's birthday, so here is a tribute to him.

Phil Silvers was Sgt Bilko on TV. An army sitcom. I think it was first called You'll Never Get Rich, but later took his name for the title.

Sidney is a great actor and person.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the info on Phil, edgar. I had no idea that Mimi was a sister to Joan. I remember In the Quiet Morning, however. Poor Janis.

Love to learn on our radio.

Another tragedy and today is his birthday
