@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love that song by The Jester.

Hurry back, hbg and pushman.

Best to strike while the iron is hot. Anyone remember The Balcksmith Blues? Razz

Today is Christian Bales' birthday, but first some info.

Christian Charles Philip Bale (born 30 January 1974) is an English actor.] He has starred in both blockbuster films and smaller projects from independent producers and art houses.

Bale first caught the public eye at the age of 13, when he was cast in the starring role of Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun (1987). Based on the original story by J. G. Ballard, Bale played an English boy who is separated from his parents and subsequently finds himself lost in a Japanese internment camp during World War II.[3] In 2000, he garnered critical acclaim for his portrayal of serial killer Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. He earned a reputation as a method actor after he lost 63 pounds to play the role of Trevor Reznik in The Machinist (2004)

Now, The William Tell overture is a great way of showing our appreciation.

Once again, edgar, thanks for your concern. I never hear William Tell that I don't think of Victor Borge playing it upside down.

I'm sure I have seen Bale in a good film or two, but I don't know which. - I googled his roles and was unsure if I saw any of the listed. Oh, well.

For FDR's birthday. This 2012 clip features Sousa's music.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Great one for FDR. George Williamson:(light wizard) loved John Philip Sousa. My favorite of his four freedoms was "Freedom From Fear"

Didn't know Sophie Hawkins, buddy, but I Will Lay Me Down was a good song.

Two comparison songs for the late afternoon here in our Florida radio station.

First, I learned about this gal from my older sister, but all I recall from her is Pig Foot Pete. Here she is doing The Black Smith Blues:

I don't know Crystal Gale at all, and surprisingly, I couldn't find out anything about her. Here's her version of Black Smith Blues.

It's always great to have our bump boy with us.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Loved that Country Mile man and what a surprise to find out that Vaughn Monroe did that Tangerine. Great one.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. First, another Phil Collins song. (he lived in London, England)

And now the wonderful Lisz and his classical piece My Dream of Love.

@Letty,
Glad you're back too. Today is the birthday of NOFX's lead singer/bassist, Michael John Burkett, popularly known as Fat Mike.
