@Letty,
Quiet day filled with recollections of the past and thinking back to a little know nothing kid (that would have been me) some 50 years back today and then this ran on the radio right around noontime. Still breaks me down, more now it seems than it did then at the senseless murders of JFK, MLK and RFK.

The usually known version of Abraham Martin and John by Dion

and a lesser seen version from Moms Mabley

When you get an error message on youtube, it is a temporary glitch with the youtube website. The Donkey Serenade I played works fine now.

@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, thank you kindly for Dublin in the rare old times.
A song, as I've said before, I've murdered on many a night. Embarrassed

Here's one from John Joseph Wardle, better known as Jah Wobble.
He's a bass guitarist who was with Public Image Ltd before going solo.
A London lad with Irish connections, of course. Wink

Here he is with Sinead O'Connor. Pretty good video too.

Asa - - Fire on the Mountain.

Asa a Nigerian singer, born in Paris but raised in Nigeria.
Asa apparently means Hawk.

@eurocelticyankee,
euro, Thanks again for the person acknowledgement I loved that song and glad you like The Irish Tenors doing there Dublin song. Did you mean by your reference to murder that you sang it? Missed Your Fire on the Mountain, buddy. Will listen later.

Let's have some fun, y'all.

From Wobble to gobble.

@Letty,
From Wobble to gobble. That was hilarious Miss Letty, them Wiggles are crazy.

Yes, by murder I meant sang, if you could call it that. Embarrassed

I'll say good night and leave you with Academy award winner Atticus Ross.
He won for Best Original Score for The Social network in 2010.

This track is from the movie The Book Of Eli. Recommend watching it full screen.

Panoramic.

Welcome back, Jes. I didn't know that one by Phil Ochs. It's great.

Thanks, edgar, for the clarification. We'll never know who shot JFK.

euro, glad that I could give you a smile, and you hurry back, too.

That Panoramic was lovely.

edgar, My Donkey Serenade worked. I think it's because of Adobe Flash Player.

Speaking of Adobe, I'm going to say goodnight with this one.

Good morning to all from here in our Florida studio.

Thanks for your comment, edgar. Don't know John Mayall, but his Country Roads was great. I never listen to The Browns that I don't think of The Three Bells, and what a wonderful surprise to find out that Edith Piaf did it originally.

Let's start the day with John and Edith.

Here's one by him that will match your Country Road man.

Just discovered that John was a poet as well.

Now, Edith.

Thanks for you comment, edgar. Wow! that song tells a story. Love it, Texas.

"when father and son fight, the kid gets groovy, and performs all night." Love After the Rain.

Morgan, welcome back to you, too. True Love by Pink reminds me of "pretty in pink." A lot of folks "whistle while they work" Razz

Well, y'all, since today is Dr. Who's birthday let's listen to two songs.

First, Who.

Remember them best for The Pinball Wizard"

Another Come together with Join together.

Glad Wandel is alright
