@edgarblythe,
It finally worked, edgar, and I loved Van the Man's Domino. Here's one by the fantastic Tony Martin to match his. Thanks for your comment on Paul.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment, edgar. The Bridge Washed Out by George Jones was great, and it reminded me of this one. (Walter Brennan cover)

Just found out that Jim Morrison was a poet.

Here's one that I found that is also sad.

POWER

I can make the earth stop in
its tracks. I made the
blue cars go away.

I can make myself invisible or small.
I can become gigantic & reach the
farthest things. I can change
the course of nature.
I can place myself anywhere in
space or time.
I can summon the dead.
I can perceive events on other worlds,
in my deepest inner mind,
& in the minds of others.

I can

Morrison was good with words. Always did like Walter Brennan's song.

hbg, I loved all your songs, especially Maynard and Star Trek, but the Magic Flute touched my soul.

Hurry back, edgar.

Today is Veterans Day in the U.S. of A. so we'll begin here with a salute.

I come from a military family and I just discovered they still have the draft here.

More synchronicity, because today is Patton's birthday and I recall George Scott doing the movie of him.

I recall that many young men fled to Canada to avoid the draft, and Jimmy Carter granted them a pardon so that they could come home.

@Letty,
good morning msletty ,

today is the birthday of one of the great Blues Singers : Ernestine Anderson .

Quote:
Ernestine Anderson (born November 11, 1928) is an American jazz and blues singer. In a career spanning more than five decades, she has recorded over 30 albums. She was nominated four times for a Grammy Award. She has sung at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center,[1] the Monterey Jazz Festival (six times over a 33-year span), as well as at jazz festivals all over the world. In the early 1990s she joined Qwest Records, the label of fellow Garfield High School grad Quincy Jones.
