good morning from Florida.

edgar, thanks again for your comment and your personal acknowledge. Loved that one by Perry Como. Had no idea that he did "They Can't Take That Away from Me."

Welcome back to you as well, hbg. Listened to all of your music, and the songs were great. Sorry that I can't comment on each one, however, and I always appreciate your personal acknowledge as well.

So long ago, I told LightWizard that I walked everywhere to the movies. (my mamma called it "the show") I did so to hear the songs that they played.

Today is Roy Rogers' birthday, and this is the one that I love to hear.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for restoring our signal, edgar. Had no idea that Bobby did that one. How sad.

Another birthday guy.

Welcome back to you as well TTL Love that song, The Journey. So long ago I sent that one to JPB. Be sure and check out Art, gal.

Another birthday man. He is probably best remembered as a member of Herman's Hermits.

I didn't realize Peter Noone did anything beyond Herman's Hermits.

Odd, hbg. I saw a bunch of songs that you played, and now they've vanished. Don't know Asleep and the Wheel, but glad your lovely daughter likes it. Lili Marlene I do know.

edgar, thanks for your comments. I loved Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence. That was a good one by Jerry Lee as well.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. First the fabulous Diana Krall.

Now, "the velvet fog"

Love to you all from Letty with same.

good evening msletty , ed and all listeners to WA2K Radio !

it's the birthday of Joe Dassin - what a beautiful voice !

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYYETaymd8g

Quote:
On December 26, 1964, Dassin signed up with CBS Records, making him the first French singer to sign up with an American record label.

By the early 1970s, Dassin's songs were on the top of the charts in France and he had become immensely popular in that country. He was also a talented polyglot, recording songs in German, Spanish, Italian and Greek, as well as French and English.
