@edgarblythe,
edgar, I knew every one of those songs. I especially liked Joan doing another e.e.commings poem, and you sent me searching.

This poem begs to be recited, with its almost hypnotic rhythm and its
beautiful rippling phrases - 'dappled dreams' 'slippered sleep'. The scenes
evoked are dreamlike and misty, with the smiling hounds and the horse of
gold. I don't know how cummings does it, but whenever I read this poem I
give a deep sigh and go back to the beginning.

Stan Freberg is always funny, and I didn't know that Fats did Chris Columbus.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. First a birthday guy. "..Bond, James Bond.."

Roger Moore.

Now another history mystery.

Pat Boone.

Mrs. Anderson of Charlottesville, Va. died claiming that she was that Russian girl.

Wonderful mix of music on our radio today and last evening.

From Letty with love and appreciation

In his day, Pat Boone was a very good artist, so long as he stayed away from rythm and blues.

Hi Ms. Letty

I was at Disneyland when they did this parade. The song brings back good memories.

Loved your goodnight song, edgar. Were you inspired by my birds?

Trying to Learn, Loved that song by Kenya (the lion king).

Here's one to match.

and, ogden nash:

Thank goodness for the zebra!
He's a special animal, you see;
For without the striped zebra,
What word would start with Z?
- Ogden Nash, The Zebra

The Camel

The camel has a single hump;
The dromedary , two;
Or else the other way around.
I'm never sure. Are you?

Uh-Oh, trying to learn, our lions chased away our signal.

Maybe The Ghost and the Darkness?

How about a tribute to Richard Carpenter whose birthday is today.

Good Richard tribute, letty. The lion looks pretty lethargic.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for restoring our signal, edgar, and when lions roar a lot they do get lethargic, I guess. Always appreciate your comments, Texas.

That one by "the jester" sent me searching.

John Wesley Hardin was an American outlaw, gunfighter, and controversial folk icon of the Old West. Hardin found himself in trouble with the law at an early age. Just found out that he was a Texan.

Another outlaw, y'all.

If I remember correctly, The Danville Train people seized all his property via eminent domain.

The song of John Wesley Harding, by Dylan is not about the historical outlaw, who spelled his name sightly differently, but a fictional character, who sounded like a Robin Hood type.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for your acknowledgement, edgar and I love 500 Miles by Flatt and Scruggs.

Saying goodnight with two songs. First, my Beth was playing Fur Elise on our studio piano, so I decided on the Beethoven.
