euro, I couldn't get your other song to play, so I'm glad that you ended the day with Pipes of Pan.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. First, one for our Eva.

Chris Barber Band - Ice Cream & Down by The River

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NA0VhsTjKY0

Quote:
Donald Christopher 'Chris' Barber (born 17 April 1930, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England) is best known as a jazz trombonist. As well as scoring a UK top twenty trad jazz hit, he helped the careers of many musicians, notably the blues singer Ottilie Patterson, who was at one time his wife, and vocalist/banjoist Lonnie Donegan, whose appearances with Barber triggered the skiffle craze of the mid-1950s and who had his first transatlantic hit, "Rock Island Line", while with Chris Barber's band. His providing an audience for Donegan and, later, Alexis Korner, makes Barber a significant figure in the British rhythm and blues and "beat boom" of the 1960s.

edgar, euro, and hbg, I enjoyed all of your songs. Wish I could comment on each one, but suffice it to say, thank you for the lovely music.

First day of October here, and today is that man's birthday, but first so info.

Stephen Weaver Collins is an American actor, writer, and musician, perhaps best known for playing Eric Camden on the long-running television series 7th Heaven

Now, his tribute to another young man, gone too soon.

Rick was a dedicated performer. I watched him grow up on TV and turn musician. He was often featured singing on Ozzie and Harriet. I used to own his Stone Canyon Band album.

Eva, So glad you enjoyed Venus. Teaching is a difficult job. Believe me I know.

Today is this guy's birthday.

A bit of info.

Now, let's listen to this talented man.

@Letty,
Well thank you dear Letty. I'm a great fan of Andre Rieu, have many of his concerts on CD's and DVD's and have met the man himself twice! Once in 1987 in the Netherlands and once in Australia 3 years ago. He really has made classical music popular all over the world.

Going to say goodnight now.
Once again, A Bad Moon Rising.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BmEGm-mraE

Fogerty reportedly wrote "Bad Moon Rising" after watching The Devil and Daniel Webster. Inspired by a scene in the film involving a hurricane, Fogerty claims the song is about "the apocalypse that was going to be visited upon us

"The Devil and Daniel Webster" is a short story by Stephen Vincent Benét. This retelling of the classic German Faust tale is based on the short story "The Devil and Tom Walker", written by Washington Irving.

Great having so many wonderful people with us today.

From Letty with love to all of you
