@Letty,
Good morning Miss Letty, folks. All well on this fine Sunday morning/afternoon I hope.

Love Diana Krall even if she is from Canada.... (only messing), she is a really great artist.

Also loved The Three Bells by the Browns, Les Trois Cloches. Lovely imagery in the video.

Fair dues to Region for coming to the rescue again, don't know if he'll appreciate being called a Bump-Boy though. Razz

Here are U2 singing One.
I remember going to see U2 at a loacl primary school, St Brendans. The entrance fee was 10p, I think you'll pay a lot more to see them now.

@eurocelticyankee,
Thanks for the comment, euro. I love U2 singing One, but why were the images so sad? Region knows that I was kiddin'.

So long ago, I sang this one, and had forgotten that Marvin Gaye did it. They're making a movie of him, incidentally.

The first time I heard Sunny it was by Cher. I was surprised when Bobby Hebb's record became the hit version.

@edgarblythe,
I had no idea that so many vocalists did that one, edgar. Wake Me When It's Over by Willie Nelson was great. Odd, I was watching Cold Case the other evening and some guy was singing this one by The Jester.

I think I found out from you, that it was about his dog.

@Letty,
My knowledge of Lay Lady Lay is that it was written to be the theme of Midnight Cowboy. Dylan missed the deadline and Everybody's Talkin' was selected in its stead. In retrospect, I thing Talkin' is a more appropriate song for that film.

@Letty,
Yuckity Yuk Yuk.

Here's the girl from Jackson, Mississippi LeAnn Rimes.
I was hoping to see her earlier this month but the concert was cancelled at the last minute due to illness.
She developed a bad cough and spent the evening in A&E. Bummer.

@eurocelticyankee,
Don't know that one by Lee Ann Rimes, euro. She did a great job and it's too bad about the couch problem.

Actually, the end of Midnight Cowboy where John held Dustin as he died may me cry.

Here' s another lady whose birthday is today. Natalie's daughter Natasha.

We'll never know what happened to Natalie, I'm afraid

Midnight Cowboy struck a chord with me, because it illustrates so perfectly how people without roots and any back up can become involved in hopeless, often degrading situations. At the time we saw it, brother Sam and I were rootless victims of social alienation.

be sure and check out Natalie, edgar. That says a lot.

Yes, as I have often said, everything should be interpreted in the light of the setting event.

Hurry back euro, Faith Hill doing Wild One was great.

Today is Jerry Lewis' birthday. I often think of him and Dean.

I think that I shall do so with a lovely hymn.
