Gilbert Bécaud (French pronunciation: [ʒil.bɛːʁ be.ko], 24 October 1927 – 18 December 2001[1]) was a French singer, composer, pianist and actor, known as "Monsieur 100.000 Volts"[2] for his energetic performances. His best-known hits are "Nathalie" and "Et Maintenant", a 1961 release that became an English language hit as "What Now My Love". He remained a popular artist for nearly fifty years, identifiable in his dark blue suits, with a white shirt and "lucky tie"; blue with white polka dots. When asked to explain his gift he said, "A flower doesn't understand botanics."[3] His favourite venue was the Paris Olympia under the management of Bruno Coquatrix. He debuted there in 1954 and headlined in 1955, attracting 6,000 on his first night, three times the capacity. On 13 November 1997 Bécaud was present for the re-opening of the venue after its reconstruction.

Oops, I'll have to speak to our editor about the mistakes in spelling on our transcript.

Today is also the birthday of Christopher Reeves.

Christopher D'Olier Reeves (September 25, 1952 – October 10, 2004) was an American actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, author and activist. He achieved stardom for his acting achievements, in particular his motion-picture portrayal of the DC comic book superhero, Superman.

He became a quadrapalegic when he was thrown from a horse in Culpepper, Va.

Although he did Superman, I remember him best for this.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for restoring our signal, edgar, and we always appreciate your comments here.

Don't know A Letter to An Angel. Thanks again for the introduction.

Be sure and check out Michael and Kirk along with Christopher Reeves.

I was hoping J.L. Nobody would join us since he plays violin, so we will do this Russian one for him.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment. I know that melody by Blackmoor's Night, and Dandy lion wine was great.

Remembering Chuck Berry.

I like the lyrics to I Know Why, letty. Van's song was taking too long to load. Good night peeples.

@hamburgboy,

Dusty Springfield - she was one of the top entertainers in Britain during the 60's and 70's

She certainly was. She was in a very good trio, The Springfields, with her brother before she embarked on her solo career.

Here's a nice example of their work together:

How are you Miss Letty agus Good morning folks, well not really.
It's damp, misty, foggy, chilly and ever so slightly overcast.
