bump bump bump

Trying again, y'all

Thanks to everyone for keeping us on the air. As you know, I thank you for each contribution by thumbing each one up.

Going to say good night (or try to do so by playing some real mockingbirds.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMpe34Aign4

and some old but beautiful lyrics.

Listen to the mockingbird,
Listen to the mockingbird,
The mockingbird still singing in the trees
Listen to the mockingbird,
Listen to the mockingbird,
Still singing out her song into the breeze

Now a classical piece.

From Letty who is healing and with love to you all.

When anyone clicks the reply button and the response is hidden, it can be seen without the constant bump posts, by making sure the person you cannot see is being followed (friended) by you. Then click on the my friends button and there it is plain as day.

good evening to all and happy birthday to :

Quote:
David Allan Coe (born September 6, 1939) is an American songwriter, outlaw country music singer, and guitarist who achieved popularity in the 1970s and 1980s. As a singer, his biggest hits were "Mona Lisa Lost Her Smile," "The Ride," "You Never Even Called Me by My Name," "She Used to Love Me a Lot," and "Longhaired Redneck." His best-known compositions are the No. 1 successes "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)," which was covered by Tanya Tucker; and "Take This Job and Shove It," which was later covered by Johnny Paycheck that was later a hit movie (both Coe and Paycheck had minor parts in the film).

edgar, thanks for the info, but I'm still not quite certain what you mean. I always reply to all here on our radio.

I love the way you presented Charlie Brown, my friend.

hbg, loved all of your songs, but my favorite was Sergio and Brasil 66.

Thinking of James Taylor today, so here is one of my favorites by him.

I like that one especially, because it reminds me of one of my favorite observations:

"The final frontier: The imagination of the human mind."

What I mean - When you hit the reply button but your reply is hidden by a site glitch, there is another way for it to be seen. There is a feature on a2k which allows us to follow a person. If you are following a person who has made a reply that cannot immediately be seen, rather than replying bump repeatedly, you can click on "my friends" and find the hidden reply there. Eventually, with enough music getting played on the radio, the replies will all appear on the thread. The only drawbacks, you would need to follow the persons in question and you could not see your own reply since there is no feature to follow yourself.

Thanks, edgar, for that song from The Apartment. I saw that movie, but can't remember much about it.

Ragman Russ, I've had that happen to me as well. Maybe Stevie will come to our rescue. I never hear him that I don't think of the yitwails. Crying or Very sad

@Ragman,
If you simply must see your own reply without waiting, the bump method is the only option.

@Letty,
I love the theme from The Apartment. The movie was okay but not a favorite.

We'll get it fixed in time, Ragman.

edgar, I thought for a moment that you were going to play Frankie and Johnny. Love that one by "old blue eyes" and Bobby Darin.

Time is a Rolling Stone was a great one.

How about a dove.

The dove

A song reminds me
Of that yesterday
When she silently left
One afternoon
She went away to another place
Taking her sad melody with her
All that was left as my companion
Was my loneliness
A white dove sings to me
At dawn
Old melancholies, things
Of the soul
It arrives with
The morning silence
And when I go out to watch it
It flies back home
Where does it go to?
For it doesn't want to hear my voice anymore
Where does it go to?
For my life extinguishes
When she's not by my side
If she would like to come back
I'd go and wait for her
Each day, each early morning
To love her more
