@edgarblythe,
edgar, thanks again for your comment, and I love that one by "the jester". Also enjoyed "gentleman" Jim and Patsy doing Have You Ever Been Lonely. I think we've
all been there before.

Going to say goodnight a bit early, because I'm not feeling too well.

Inspired by hbg. Here's the crooner singing The Bells of St. Mary.

Then the original lyrics

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fnpJKMGV-Q

The Bells of St. Mary's
Ah, hear they are calling
The young loves, the true loves
Who come from the sea

And so my beloved
When red leaves are falling
The love bells shall ring out, ring out
For you and me

From Letty with love to the world

Hurry back Herr hbg via Ontario. Know every one of your songs. They were good ones.

edgar, your Beatles song reminded me of Norwegian Wood.

Today is Buck Owens birthday, so here is a tribute to him.

hi to all !

another birthday for today ( it's a Canadian artist , EH ! )

Quote:
Ruth Lowe (August 12, 1914 – January 4, 1981) was a Canadian pianist and songwriter. She wrote the song "I'll Never Smile Again" after her husband died during surgery. The song was later covered by many artists, including Frank Sinatra and The Ink Spots.

@edgarblythe,
This is rare footage of Linda Ronstadt with the unbelievably multi-talented Bobby Darin accompanying on acoustic guitar. Unreal how clear and pure and heart-felt her voice is on this love ballad, a favorite of mine. Linda, you still have my heart!
