@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the comment, edgar, and although I don't know Fixing a Hole by the fab four, it was good.

Hope everyone will check out Paul Robeson's Song of the Volga Boatman.

Time for me to say goodnight and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, Matt Monroe. (debacle knows him as well)

Now, Mario again

In spite of everything, I know I still have friends.

From Letty with love to the world.

@Letty,
Many thanks for the Matt Monro piece, Letty. It's one of my all-time favorites. Here's another one, especially for you.

As one of the folks commenting on the video said, "This video is an example of the performing arts at their finest. Don Quijote was the crazy one, but in the end, they recognized he was sanest of them all, calling on them to see noble things where they only saw the mundane. Cervantes was truly the Shakespeare of Spain."

msletty , ed and all other listeners to WA2K Radio !

walking down memory lane again :

Quote:
"Open the Door, Richard" is a song first recorded on the Black & White Records label by saxophonistist Jack McVea at the suggestion of A&R man Ralph Bass. In 1947, it was the number-one song on Billboard's "Honor Roll of Hits" and became a runaway pop sensation.[1]

I feel so good this morning. Thank you all for that wonderful musical tribute.

Odd, because I awakened this morning thinking of Scattering Precious Seeds by the Wayside. My mom used to sing that to my daughter.

Good to hear hbg, calling me Ms. Letty again. Loved Orange Blossom Special, edgar. Especially enjoyed The song of the red army choir singing The Volga Boatman.

Wish I could acknowledge each one, but suffice it to say, you just made my day.

debacle, The Man of La Mancha always made me sad. I guess we all tilt at windmills sometimes.

thanks for restoring our signal, edgar and Vonny.

Loved Teas by Dononvan and Neil Young's version of Blowing in the Wind.

Vonny, Bon Jovi's Always was a great love song.

Anyone remember the Four Lads. Just in case, here's some info.

The Four Lads is a popular Canadian male singing quartet. In the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, the group earned many gold singles and albums

Love this one by them.

@Letty,
Don't think I've heard The Four Lads before - although the tune is familiar. Did somebody else record it?
