@ehBeth,
ehBeth, Welcome back to you as well, and Sweeping the Ashes by Serena was great. Don't know her, so thanks for the introduction.

Speaking of "ashes", this nursery rhyme might have referred to smallpox or the bubonic plague. "the roses" were a type of healing mechanism.

and, I'm going to play this one again.

Oops, edgar, that should have been "...a pocket full of posies....." which are healing herbs.

Sally Go Round the Roses was great. Here's a rose to match. I bet you know this guy. Today is his birthday.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for restoring our signal, edgar. I figured you would know him.

Freddy Hart's The Wall, I don't know, so once again you sent me searching.

Frederick Segrest (born December 21, 1926), known professionally as Freddie Hart, is an American country musician and songwriter best known for his No. 1 hit "Easy Loving," which won the Country Music Association Song of the Year award in 1971 and 1972.

Hart charted singles from 1953–1987, and later became a gospel singer. He continues to perform at music festivals and other venues.

Another Freddie, edgar. Freddie Prinz, Jr.'s birthday was the other day, so I went searching for his dad. Very sad, y'all.

good sunday morning to all and happy birthday to :

Quote:
Leon Bismark "Bix"(March 10, 1903 – August 6, 1931) was an American jazz cornetist, jazz pianist, and composer.

With Louis Armstrong and Muggsy Spanier, Beiderbecke was one of the most influential jazz soloists of the 1920s. His turns on "Singin' the Blues" (1927) and "I'm Coming, Virginia" (1927), in particular, demonstrated an unusual purity of tone and a gift for improvisation. With these two recordings, especially, he helped to invent the jazz ballad style and hinted at what, in the 1950s, would become cool jazz. "In a Mist" (1927), one of a handful of his piano compositions but the only one he recorded, mixed classical influences with jazz syncopation

@edgarblythe,
Never My Love was so lovely and calming by The Association, and once again you sent me searching, edgar.

The Association
Band
The Association is a pop music band from California in the folk rock or soft rock genre. During the 1960s, they had numerous hits at or near the top of the Billboard charts and were the lead-off band at 1967's Monterey Pop Festival.

They were excellent.

Bet you know this guy, Texas, and today is his birthday.

For a long time I would not watch Chuck Norris. Just lately I have been catching up on his movies. Did you know Chuck expressed a desire to become president of Texas, should it ever secede?

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for keeping us on the air, edgar, and your comment on Chuck. No, I didn't know that he planned to run for president.

Loved Elton's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road as well as Gene Thomas' Sometimes. Didn't know him, so thanks again for the introduction. He was good.

Going to say goodnight with a Sunday song by Elvis.
