Returning to our regular programming....

Frank Sinatra & Tommy Dorsey - Polka Dots And Moonbeams.

A country dance was being held in a garden
I felt a bump and heard an "Oh, beg your pardon"
Suddenly I saw polka dots and moonbeams
All around a pug-nosed dream

The music started and was I the perplexed one
I held my breath and said "May I have the next one?"
In my frightened arms, polka dots and moonbeams
Sparkled on a pug-nosed dream

There were questions in the eyes of other dancers
As we floated over the floor
There were questions but my heart knew all the answers
And perhaps a few things more

Now in a cottage built of lilacs and laughter
I know the meaning of the words "Ever after"
And I'll always see polka dots and moonbeams
When I kiss the pug-nosed dream

Apple climbing time for me and The Fredster.
Laters WA2K
G'night.

What a wonderful day on WA2K. Love all of the music, and although dj, told me that I was the program director, and Barry the producer. I find that our radio is made up of all of you. I wish that I could comment on each one, but it's impossible. (uhoh! that reminds me of another song)

I especially enjoyed The Lady is a Tramp and Polka Dots and Moonbeams because it reminds me of Ellinas our pug nosed Greek.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. First, The Sons of the Pioneers. My mom loved them.

Now, a birthday man that I really enjoy.

No, not Rogers, Clark.

How wonderful to see so many other countries with us today: Ontario, Dublin, London. Two Georges and the other one that's still with us, George ob 1. (we miss you dear Light wizard)

From Letty with love and gratitude

edgar, thanks again for your comments and again "the king's" I'll Be Home Again was a great one from his military days. Didn't know that version of Ray's You Are My Sunshine. Hurry back, buddy, and don't work too hard.

This must be Dusty day on WA2K.

hbg, Ah, dear Bessie Smith. Enjoyed all your songs, Ontario, especially Careless Love. Those two great Danes were good as well.

Morning, Brit. Had no idea that Dusty did Windmills of Your Mind. Just found out that Pierce Brosnam is Irish. That was a surprise.

Two songs for the early morning here.

First a cover of a great Billie Holiday song by a new face on the horizon. Here some info on this great jazz vocalist.

Stacey Kent is an American jazz singer. She went to England after her graduation. While studying at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she met the tenor saxophonist Jim Tomlinson, whom she married on August 9, 1991.

In the early 1990s, Kent began her professional career singing regularly at Café Boheme in London's Soho. After two or three years, Kent began opening for established jazz acts across the road at the Ronnie Scott's nightclub in London.
