Good morning WA2K folks.

So sorry that I cannot acknowledge each contribution, but all of the songs were great.

Finally discovered why I know Rings on Her Fingers. This Irish guy sang it.

Sorry for the abrupt ending, yawl.

Happy St. Patrick's Day.

and from Frankie.

My quiet time again. Dogs and kids are asleep. Wonderful dinner at The Outback, but the motorcycles were soooooo loud, I had a hard time listening to the great Irish music.

It has been a "great day for the Irish", yawl.

I want to welcome back our alex and hope he visits our studio more often.

Great to see our euroGeorge as well.

Can't miss Nat Cole's birthday, and this is not exactly a wild Irish rose, but he did sing an Irish song way back when, I just couldn't find it.

Two goodnight songs from your PD/producer.

First, A Great Day for the Irish:

Now an Irish Lullaby

Miss our Northern Irish friend, smokin' Gunn/Kieran but he and his wife are alright.

Great to have Dublin and London with us today.

From Letty with love and a shamrock

here he is again - with his good friend Zal .

zal and his wife rose operated some very successful businesses in our town - both were also vocal and active - spending their own money , not someone else's - supporters of many social causes

Quote:
Zalman "Zal" Yanovsky (December 19, 1944 – December 13, 2002) was a Canadian rock musician. Born in Toronto, he was the son of political cartoonist Avrom Yanovsky. He played lead guitar and sang for the Lovin' Spoonful, a rock band which he founded with John Sebastian in 1964. According to Sebastian, "He could play like Elmore James, he could play like Floyd Cramer, he could play like Chuck Berry. He could play like all these people, yet he still had his own overpowering personality. Out of this we could, I thought, craft something with real flexibility."[1] He was married to actress Jackie Burroughs, with whom he had one daughter, Zoe.

here is a beautiful " Evening Song ".
the composer is no doubt not well known - but i love those mellow tones right now - but i also can be rather " brassy " , as you all know .

Quote:
Rheinberger was a prolific composer. His religious works include twelve masses (one for double chorus, three for four voices a cappella, three for women's voices and organ, two for men's voices and one with orchestra), a requiem, and a Stabat Mater. His other works include several operas, symphonies,[1] chamber music, and choral works. Today he is remembered almost exclusively for his elaborate and challenging organ compositions; these include two concertos, 20 sonatas, 22 trios, 12 Meditations, 24 fughettos, and 36 solo pieces. His organ sonatas were once declared to be

undoubtedly the most valuable addition to organ music since the time of Mendelssohn. They are characterized by a happy blending of the modern romantic spirit with masterly counterpoint and dignified organ style.
—J. Weston Nicholl, Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (1908 edition), volume 4, page 85

always something new to learn .
