@jcboy,
Welcome back, Morgan. Don't know that one by Rihanna, but it did mention major and minor and reminded me of my telling song.

@edgarblythe,
Glad to see you back in our wee studio, edgar. You sent me searching, buddy.

Softly, as in whispering

Albert Allick 'Al' Bowlly (January 7, 1899 -- April 17, 1941) was a popular British Jazz singer in the United Kingdom during the 1930s, making more than 1,000 recordings between 1927 and 1941. Bowlly was born in Mozambique to Greek and Lebanese parents who met en route to Australia and moved to South Africa. He was brought up in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was killed by the explosion of a parachute mine outside his apartment in London during the Blitz.

@edgarblythe,
I love that version of Whispering, edgar. Reminds me of Bing Crosby's sons doing.

"Get out those old records, those old phonograph records.
Kitten on the Keys and Nola on the old wind up Victrola"

Love this flute doing a whispering song.

Johnny Depp? Amazing, edgar. Guess they going to do William Tell all over again.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back, Brit. I love Shirley Bassey. Don't know That one by her, but the Rhythm Divine was great. Your introduction of Shirley Bassey/yello reminded me of Donovan.

@Barry The Mod,
I noticed that Clarence Clemons was from Virginia, Brit. Omara Portuondo was fabulous, and thanks for your comments on "The Boss."

Another beautiful spot in Virgina that I have stood upon and looked at the breath taking view below. Buena Vista

Here's Nat to sing a beautiful song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCQGyxO316c&feature=related

English lyrics to the original

Now the hacienda's dark
The town is sleeping
Now the time has come to part
The time for weeping

Vaya con dios, my darling
Vaya con dios, my love

Now the village mission bells are softly ringing
If you listen with your heart
You'll hear them singing

Vaya con dios, my darling
Vaya con dios, my love

Wherever you may be, I'll be beside you
Although you're many million dreams away
Each night I'll say a pray'r
A pray'r to guide you
To hasten every lonely hour
Of every lonely day
Now the dawn is breaking through a gray tomorrow
But the memories we share are there to borrow

Vaya con dios, my darling
Vaya con dios, my love

Welcome back to Rockhead and Wandel.

Rock, Jake Clemos Spring Street Band' Drive All Night was great. Love saxophones, Kansas.

Wandel, Lou Bega's Mambo Number Five was wonderful. Lou likes all the gals. Thanks for the smile.

Well, although I told Barry the Mod that I was ready to give Virginia back to the Virgin Queen, I do have some fond memories of when I went to college there.

Here's one of them, and Buena Vista was another. It's near Charlottesville.

Sleep well, Brit. Hope you didn't have any Rum and Coca cola. Razz

edgar, I really like that one by Rod Stewart. You're in My Heart was a good one.

Welcome back, turtle man. Funny one by Lenny Bruce, and here is some info on the man.

Leonard Alfred Schneider (October 13, 1925 – August 3, 1966), better known by the stage name Lenny Bruce, was a Jewish-American comedian, social critic and satirist. His 1964 conviction in an obscenity trial was followed by a posthumous pardon, the first in New York state history.

Going to say goodnight a bit early as I had a glass of red wine this evening.

First, a Hawaiian song. We'll dedicate this one to the yitwails and any others who live in Hawaii.

Now, another Italian.

The King did that one as well. If I remember correctly, hbg said that he had been to Buena Vista. Nice to have Canada and London, England with us today

My same old signature,
From Letty with love to the world.
