@edgarblythe,
edgar :
i thought you meant this freddy

Laughing Laughing Laughing

( that's how the germans see the americans )

listened to freddie a lot when i spent several weeks in austin and area in march 1979 .
" tex-mex " music was new to us but we sure enjoyed it while driving around .

kind of sorry that we never made it back again - but sure have good memories of texas - i'd say that visiting big bend national park and staying at the park lodge was the highlight .

we were VERY surprised to find quite a few people that spoke german - even though their families had come way back after the german revolution in 1848 .

@hamburgboy,
There are whole towns of what appear to be Germans in Texas. I was young, when passing through and didn't ask questions. The darling Clementine stuff is older generation. Young Texans don't identify with it.

although I cannot acknowledge each song played here, I'll let ABBA do it for me.

What a wonderful evening I had, yawl. Met a delightful orthodox Jewish guy and his beautiful girlfriend, and we had a wonderful conversation. He gave me a big hug and she gave me a huge smile.

Wore my Chinese Silk Pajamas, but coming home, there was a cold wind blowing which made me think of Ian Anderson.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Thanks again for your comments. Had no idea that Greensleeves was done in the TV show The Rifleman. (barely remember that)

Remember that the searchers of The Lost Colony did that one, too.

That child singing Nella Fantasia was fantastic. Love that song, buddy.

A birthday boy who is new to me, so first some info.

Gavin McGregor Rossdale (born 30 October 1965) is an English musician, known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Bush as well as an actor. Following Bush's separation in 2002, which lasted for eight years, he was the lead singer and guitarist for Institute, and later began a solo career. He continues to perform both Bush and Institute songs during his solo concerts. Rossdale is married to fellow musician Gwen Stefani.

Now the song.

@Izzie,
Oh, my goodness, what a wonderful surprise. Thank you dear Izzie. So long ago, I got a birthday message from George Williamson (lightwizard) and I sent him a photo of me in my Chinese Silk Pajamas and he said that I looked like his sister.

Saying goodnight with a wraith and one to match edgar's song.

First the spook.

Now a different version of Nella Fantasia

Nice to have Ontario and London with us today.

From Letty with love to everyone, everywhere.

It's a great song, all right, letty. Didn't care a lot for the earlier song, by the former Rush member.
Hi, izzy. Nice of you to drop in.
