McTag, I know Dusty. She died too early.

edgar, thanks again for your comments. I remember Bobby Bare, too. Didn't he do Last night I dream that I was in Detroit City? Love that song.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs. First a memory of Dusty.

Now, for my friends Jo and Bruce, a great jazz song with lyrics to follow

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3p5hHfVewk

I feel the autumn breeze,
It steals 'cross my pillow
As soft as a will-o'-the-wisp,
And in its song there is sadness
Because there's no you,
The lonely autumn trees,
How softly they're sighing,
For summer is dying,
They know that in my heart
There's no gladness
Because there's no you,

The park that we walked in,
The garden we talked in,
How lonesome they seem in the fall,
The stormy clouds hover,
And falling leaves cover
Our favorite nook in the wall,

In spring we'll meet again,
We'll kiss and recapture
The summertime rapture we knew,
And from that day,

So nice to have London and Scotland with us again. Hope our Rockhead is alright.

From Letty with love to the world

Good morning from Florida, WA2K.

edgar, Really loved Brook's The Lost Penny. Thanks for that one, Texas.

Welcome back, mmarciano. Don't know It's My Life, but it was a good one. Reminds me of Billy Joel's song.

Hey, Brit. We all know and love Dusty. Hurry back.

More synchronicity, yawl.

Today is Isaac Hayes' birthday, and he and Dusty sing the same song.

mmarciano, that's a good song.
I knew the first two Dusty songs already.
Funny about Isaac Hayes. When I saw him in person, he was MCing Bob Dylan's Thunder Revue. It featured Stevie Wonder, Roger McGuinn and others, for hours before Dylan showed up. With that long string of artists getting up there, it would seem logical he would also perform. But all he did was talk.
Well, I got to go out to the job in a little while. I will play you a song in a minute..

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar, for commenting on the songs that get played on WA2K radio.

Your info on Isaac Hayes was amazing as well. Swing is In The Air reminded me of Spring is in the Air. Didn't know that one but it was a look back, buddy.

Wow! Had no idea that Jackie Wilson did For Once in My Life. Great version.

Here's another surprise, folks.

Johnny Mathis does Grenada. What a talent!

@jcboy,
Did not know that one by Blondie. Thanks for the introduction, jcboy.

Another Maria by Marty.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms24F1G_Ay8

and the lyrics in English

Maria Elena, you're the answer to a prayer
Maria Elena, can't you see how much I care?
To me your voice is like the echo of a sigh
And when you're near my heart can't speak above a sigh.

Maria Elena, say that we will never part
Maria Elena, take me to your heart
A love like mine is great enough for two
To share this love is really all I ask of you.

--- Instrumental ---

Maria Elena, say that we will never part
Maria Elena, take me to your heart
A love like mine is great enough for two
To share this love is really all I ask of you
