@edgarblythe,
Great one by Claude King, Texas. Those are the four things that make a good relationship. Do you mean you didn't like Scat man's version?

Another King. (no, not Elvis; Carole)

Honestly, I did not care for Scatman's ghostly song.
Carol King, I like.

Time for an instrumental, dear listeners, one by
Ray Conniff's orchestra. So push back the recliner and
dim down the light for a couple of well known classical
melodies done the Ray Conniff style.

edgar, It's all right not to like things here; however I really like King Curtis. Thanks for your comments.

neco nomad, welcome back. We were concerned about you.

Fantastic classics. Love Swan Lake, and now I'm going to provide the lyrics as long as our Brit doesn't shoot us with Joe Cuba's bang bang. Love that one. Sleep well, London.

First, Full Moon and Empty Arms

Full moon and empty arms
The moon is there for us to share, but where are you?
A night like this could weave a memory
And every kiss could start a dream for two

Full moon and empty arms
Tonight I'll use the magic moon to wish upon
And next full moon, if my one wish comes true
My empty arms will be filled with you

Now, Fantasy Impromptu.

I'm always chasing rainbows,
Watching clouds drifting by,
My dreams are just like all my schemes,
Ending in the sky.
Some fellows look and find the sunshine,
I always look and find the rain.
Some fellows make a winning sometime,
I never even make a gain, believe me,
I'm always chasing rainbows,
I'm watching for a little bluebird in vain.

All Kings of classics and pop tunes.

Saying goodnight with another king.

edgar, you picked a good one to say goodnight by. Love that one by the Prima guy. (no, not a prima donna.)

You sleep well, too, Texas.

Goodnight, all.

From Letty with love and a smile

Morning Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2K folks.Nose back to the grindstone tonight....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMmS6Vll_ns
Cat Stevens - Matthew And Son.

Up at eight, you can't be late
for Matthew & Son, he won't wait.

Watch them run down to platform one
And the eight-thirty train to Matthew & Son.

Matthew & Son, the work's never done, there's always something new.
The files in your head, you take them to bed, you're never ever through.
And they've been working all day, all day, all day!

There's a five minute break and that's all you take,
for a cup of cold coffee and a piece of cake.

Matthew & Son, the work's never done, there's always something new.
The files in your head, you take them to bed, you're never ever through.
And they've been working all day, all day, all day!

He's got people who've been working for fifty years
No one asks for more money 'cause nobody cares
Even though they're pretty low and their rent's in arrears

Matthew & Son, Matthew & Son, Matthew & Son, Matthew & Son,
And they've been working all day, all day, all day!

Good morning. Bang Bang, Nat Cole and Cat. Good songs. I had thought about playing Fly Me to the Moon yesterday, by Tony Bennett, but went with Louis instead.

Hey, Brit. That's a great way to say "back to the grindstone" Love that one by the "morning has broken" Cat. Thanks.

edgar, Louis is great early or late.

Here's a birthday boy, yawl.

and, a tribute to the bird man.

The laughter we hear in the background may be a laughing gull.

Info on J.J. A.

John James Audubon (Jean-Jacques Audubon) (April 26, 1785 – January 27, 1851) was a French-American ornithologist, naturalist, hunter, and painter. He painted, catalogued, and described the birds of North America in a manner far superior to any before him.

We appreciate our editor. He always sets things straight

I appreciate Audubon, bird fancier that I am. The only reason I never own birds is my dog might make their lives rough.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, edgar. Bird Dog by The Everly Brothers was perfect for the day.

Brenda's All Alone Am I was great as well.

Thought about playing Hound Dog, but decided on a birthday boy instead.

@Francis,
Welcome back, Francis. That is a beautiful song. Of course you sent me searching once more. Is Luz Casal Spanish or Italian?

I found these lyrics, but as you know, I'm not too good at all the Romance languages.

Hope these are the right ones.

A year of love

What we had is over
And you'll regret having put en end
To a year of love
If you leave now
Soon you'll discover
That days are endless and empty without me

And at night, And at night,
So as not to feel alone
You will remember our happy days together
You will remember the taste of my kisses
And in an instant you will understand
What a year of love means.

Have you stopped to think
What will happen
All that we will lose
And what you will suffer
If you leave now
You won't get back
The happy moments I gave you.

And at night, And at night,
So as not to feel alone
You will remember our happy days together
You will remember the taste of my kisses
And in an instant you will understand
What a year of love means.

Well, my goodness. George ob is back with us

Francis

@Letty,
The one you are referring to is "Un ano de amor", Miss Letty.

Mine is:

Historia de un amor (The story of a love) by Eydie Gorme Y Los Panchos (Mexico)

Ya no estás más a mi lado corazón
Your not longer by my side, (my) heart [my love]

En el alma sólo tengo soledad
In my soul I only have loneliness

Y si ya no puedo verte
and if I cannot see you anymore

porque Dios me hizo quererte
why did God make me love you

para hacerme sufrir más
to make me suffer more

Siempre fuiste la razón de mi existir
you were always the reason for my existence

Adorarte para mi fue religión
to adore you was a religion for me

Y en tus besos yo encontraba
and in your kisses I used to find

el calor que me brindaba
the heat that gave me

el amor y la pasion
the love and the passion

Es la historia de un amor
this is the story of a love

como no hay otro igual
like there is no other

Que me hizo comprender
that made me understand

todo el bien, todo el mal
all the good and all the evil

Que le dio luz a mi vida
that gave light to my life

Apagandola despues
turning it off again

Ay! que vida tan obscura
oh! what a dark life

sin tu amor no vivire...
without your love I will not live... [I cannot live]

Es la historia de un amor
this is the story of a love

@Letty,
I once liked Bobby Rydel quite a bit, letty. I still like his version of Volare. I was told by a friend that Bobby is now an evangelical minister. Never checked to see if it is so.
