Two versions of this lovely serenade, folks. One in Russian (I think) and one in English.

Good morning, WA2K, Izzie, and Brit. Smile

Wow! loved Inga. She is a great jazz artist and vocalist. Thanks for the introduction. Les McCann doing Burt was fantastic as well. Don't know The Umbrella song, but it was good. Tempus Fugit? If I recall my early Latin class that means Time Flies. Good one. Love what you Britons play here on WA2K.

How about Johnny this morning. He's a great weather man.

Good morning, all.
Johnny Nash is a local guy. Very straight and religious. Nice person and fine artist.

Well, I still don't have enough computer to participate fully. So, please don't be offended if I don't hear every video posted or comment on it. I see Jean Wycliff is running for president of Haiti. I have always admired him and would be interested to know the outcome of it.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, wonder if Jean left his hat in Haiti? know that one, Texas? Thanks for the info on Johnny Nash. Didn't know that about him. He was one talented man.

Today is Stan Freberg's birthday and we used to have a vinyl called Stan Freberg presents the United States of America. Funnneeeee.

Here's a parody by him, y'all.

Hello there Letty and Radio land lovers.
Special shout out and thanks to Izzie for reminding me why I first came to appreciate it here, that would be you Letty, gush gush gush,
but I may not have the chance to say it again as I am going on a trip in a couple of days and the aeroplane engine may fail and I may get stranded on a desert island.

That's an idea, "Desert Island Disks", what three albums would you take with you on a desert island and do please give us your favourite song from each album.

Any way I am not sure they would be one of the three but I have been downloading my favourite albums onto a new walk-man over the past two days and fit my favourite 45 albums on it with room for some more, so cool is the gadget, but I have been hearing and humming these guys since.
One of the first of my dads bands I ever loved listening to and got into.
Queen and James Taylor were the first two.
So here you are a few of my favourite Eurythmics songs.

Shame

King and Queen of America

It is lucky I watched this video before I posted it, as this was the only version I could find, so I need to warn you it has a little male arty nudity, (for some just any excuse will do), so you may wish to not watch the video, but I post it for the song.

We two are One.

Don't ask me why.

I also wanted to post the one that goes;
"Underneath this canopy of snow, where fifty seven winters took their toll, where did you go?
And now she's gone to meet her maker, back to where she came from, gone to save her soul, come to take her home" (something like that)
But could not remember what it was called and worried I might overfill this post so stopped here.

Have a great morning noon or night, when and where ever the sun lights up your sight.

I like the Stan Freberg parody, letty. Billy Ecstine - I only knew Life is a bowl of cherries.
The Nillson song is one of my top favorites, partly because I love the film its from, but in its own right, it is great.

Serenade is a great one, regardless of artist or language. Never heard a version of it I did not like.

@edgarblythe,
I love Harry Belafonte,
I used to think for some reason he was called Arabella Fonte.

Any way I am always reminded of this song and as I saw a Rita video I thought that would be cool.
