I like the song, The Man I Love. Never heard it by that artist before. Good one from Francis also.

@Francis,
Welcome back, Francis. Just found out that Elis Regina died at 35. I'm assuming that song title is The Waters of Marco.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was lovely. Didn't Carson McCullers right a book by that same name?

I liked Billie Holliday's version of My Man better, just thought I would listen to someone different.

@edgarblythe,
You know, edgar, there are no adjectives to describe that water flower song. Had no idea it was from Anna and The King, Texas. I no longer swim in the ocean, but I loved to seek out a water fall and stand under it when I was a kid in Virginia.

Here is a memory.

Easier on the ears, no?

soothing, letty.
I tried to find this one by Gordon Lightfoot, but had to settle on Peter Paul and Mary.

It's Steve Lawrence's birthday, and I had forgotten what a fantastic voice he has, y'all.

Here's one by him that I enjoy.

@edgarblythe,
Great one by Eydie and Steve, edgar. I want to stay here, too, but it's time for me to say goodnight. Interesting that Steve, just like Al, was supposed to be a cantor.

So nice having different countries with us on our cyber radio.

Michel LeGrand was one of the finest composers and performers that I have ever known.

So, here's my goodnight song by Steve.

From Letty with love to you all.

John Barrowman - I'd Rather Be Sailing.

I'd rather be sailing, yes, I would
On an open sea
I'd stand at the railing if I could
Feeling wild and free

The sun is on my neck, the wind is in my face
The water's incredibly blue
And I'd rather be sailing
Yes, I'd wanna go sail
And then come home to you

Sex is good but I'd rather be sailing
Food is nice but I'd rather be sailing
People are swell but I'd rather be sailing
Over the horizon

And I'd rather be sailing, yes, I would
On an open sea
I'd stand there inhaling if I could
Feeling wild and free

The sun is on my neck, the wind is in my face
The sea is incredibly blue
And I'd rather be sailing
Yes, I'd wanna go sail
And then come home to you

I'd rather be sailing
Yes, I'd wanna go sail
And then come home to you

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, I have never heard Happiness is a Warm Gun by The Fab Four. That must be John Lennon, Texas. Thanks for your goodnight song.

Hey, Brit. John Barrowman's I'd Rather Be Sailing was fabulous. What a great talent. (such a waste, however. Smile)

Hey, S.G. this is a simulated radio station. One may get in the spirit of it by thinking of the format and formula of radio.

Today is Jimmy Smits' birthday, so here is one by him.

Hope this works, as atmospheric conditions are a problem this AM
