@edgarblythe,
Who has not read all those fairy tales that Disney made into movies, edgar. Thanks you for letting us know about the lady who sang A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.

There are those who believe that Walt Disney is frozen awaiting a rebirth. Don't think so, however.

Well, whatever we think of the man, here is a tribute to him, y'all.

I grew up idolizing Disney. These days, I have mixed feelings, but certain of his achievements are still magic to me.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, dear edgar. The Rose by Bette was about Janis Joplin. Love that song by her.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two memories.

First, TCM is doing Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad World so a brief trailer of that hilarious movie. Then a marvelous version of "the apple tree" by Nat.

Now Nat

The movie of the Rose was a big disappointment for me. At the end she took so long to end it, I almost said, "Die already. Let me get out of this chair." Smile I love the Nat song. It's one we don't hear that often. Mad mad world trailer is always good for a smile
Saying good night with All of You.

Morning Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2kpeeps.Starting with a birthday girl....

'Titanic' star celebrates 100th birthday

Gloria Stuart recently celebrated her 100th birthday.

The actress, who played the older version of Kate Winslet's character Rose DeWitt Bukater in award-winning movie Titanic, attended a party on Sunday surrounded by more than 100 family and friends.

"Gloria's so alive," Us Magazine quotes Titanic director James Cameron as saying. "Her creativity, her artistry and the sparkle in her eyes is a challenge to all of us to live as fully and richly as she has and will continue to do as she heads into her 101st year."

As well as Cameron, stars such as Shirley MacLaine, Tom Arnold and Frances Fisher also attended the celebrations at the Ace Gallery in Beverly Hills.

I loved that movie to bits. I laughed myself sick in the movie theatre. Me and Chris Macdonald. So good.

Lee Ryan and friend busking on the streets and the Underground in London Town.

You know I don't mind if you think I should grow my hair
You know I don't mind if you pick on the clothes that I wear
But know I can keep my head when all around me are losing theirs, because

CHORUS
I am who I am
And you can't change me
I've done what I can
And I'll stand my ground
You're tying my hands
You rearrange me
It all falls down
It all falls down

Why when you dream do you see me as something I'm not
Why don't you wake up and see all the good things you've got
A heart isn't made out of clay
Not something you shape with your hands, understand

CHORUS
I am who I am
And you can't change me
I've done what I can
And I'll stand my ground
You're tying my hands
You rearrange me
It all falls down
It all falls down

Is the reason you ask me to change so that you stay the same
Well I'm sorry if I keep disappointing you again and again, but

CHORUS
I am who I am
And you can't change me
I've done what I can
And I'll stand my ground
You're tying my hands
You rearrange me
It all falls down
It all falls down

I am who I am

Good morning, (for me anyway) WA2K folks.

edgar, I didn't see the movie, but your comment was hilarious. Enjoyed "All of You" by Julio and Diana. Thanks, Texas.

Welcome back, Latin George. Great jazz song by Lost Fingers. Never heard it, but I love the "thunder" thing. Thanks for the introduction, buddy.

Hey, Brit. That Happy Ending by Mika was proper and fitting for the lady at the end of The Titanic. I liked that movie.

Ah, Beth Chapman's "How We Love" was awesome, and Lee Ryan's I Am Who I Am is so true. That's the stuff true love is made of.

McTag, Wasn't that movie hilarious? I haven't laughed at a movie like I laughed at that one for soooo long.

Nice to see Francis back with us. Yep, we all have a song that we like to make our own.

This was is mine for the morning, folks.

I love Rocky Raccoon. Also love Toreador and most any other songs related to bullfighting - which is strange, since I disapprove of the sport.
Well, here is Ringo -

Wow! had no idea Ringo did Buck Owens. That was great, Texas.

Speaking of bucks, more serendipity, y'all.

Five bucks will get you a meal at KFC. Another two or three bucks and you even get a drink. Speaking of five bucks, here is a song about two.
