Good afternoon, radiofolk. Welcome, sun. Danny Kaye - what I like most about him is his offstage work with UNICEF.

Hey, Brit. Did you hear that O in the middle of S.S.'s song. I love it and believe you me I got up and danced to that reggae type song. Wow!

edgar, Thanks again for the comments. and the photoGraphic songs. Love both those Beatle melodies. Yep, And I Love her is simply said.

Hope I didn't miss anyone. Another perfect picture, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, Texas. Steve did a great version of that one. It's a toss up between him and Matt, methinks.

Strange, y'all. This song has absolutely nothing to do with the movie.

I tend to stick with the versions of a song that I know for the longest period of time. It is not often that I change preferences, even when the newer version is a good one. I enjoyed the Nat song. I don't think he made any records that I don't like to hear.

This song was one of my favorites when it was constantly on the radio. But I did end up liking the Johnny Cash version better.

@edgarblythe,
I think music, like life, is dependent upon the setting event, edgar. I've never heard It's a Little more Like Heaven by your side, so I cannot compare.

How about a whisper, folks.

Tonight;

Messages;
Turn your mind inside out
Shake your bones to the sound
Turn turn turn
Your mind inside out
Cause nothing really matters
When you're out of control

You send me messages (x4)

Turn my mind inside out
Take your wrong somewhere else
Turn turn turn
Our minds inside out
Cause nothing really matters
When you're out of control

You send me messages (x4)

Turn your mind inside out
Shake your bones to the sound

You send me
You send me messages
You send me
You send me messages (x5)

IF you listen to only one of these songs, please listen to this one. It makes me feel as if I am supposed to doing something important with myself.

a video from the band Superchunk

Superchunk is an American indie rock band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, consisting of singer/guitarist Mac McCaughan, guitarist Jim Wilbur, bassist Laura Ballance, and drummer Jon Wurster. They were one of the bands that defined the fertile Chapel Hill music scene and culture, and their records received critical acclaim. Their energetic, high-velocity style and do-it-yourself ethics were influenced directly by punk rock, and they are today considered one of indie rock's definitive bands.

Mac & Laura also run Merge Records, one of the most successful indie labels in America

Ah, Latin George. Kodachrome is a vanishing species, but that was a delightful elegy, buddy.

S.S. For some reason, The Filthy Dukes' songs that appealed to me were Nonsense in the Dark.(I recall when they put those animals in space, especially the monkey) and Don't Fall Softly. Thanks, for the introduction.

edgar, Loved that one by Toots. Imagine was great by him. Bet you forgot that he did one of the themes from Midnight Cowboy.

I think that I had better say goodnight while I can. Equipment has been misbehaving again.

Remembering my mamma. She loved Nelson Eddy.

Goodnight all,

From Letty with love that is hot in the heat. Smile

@djjd62,
dj, I missed your Driveway to Driveway. I like it, and with a name like Superchunk, we might think Superhunk. Thanks, Canada. It was a mite sad, however.

I know Toots did some Midnight Cowboy music, by reading the playlist, but I don't recall he had anything to do with the film.

@Letty,
mac (the singer) and laura (the girl with the amazing lips) had just broken up before this song was written, it is not about their relationship according to mac, but most people feel differently

even after the breakup, they have continued the band and managing the record label for over ten years to date

djjd and sometime sun - good contributions.
I like Nelson Eddy too. My mom liked him when she was young and going to see lots of musical films, but I think she slowly lost interest.
