@edgarblythe,
edgar, thanks for portraying the signers of The Declaration of Independence, buddy. I knew most of the ones from Virginia. I was always fascinated with John Hankcock's rather prominent signature. Lots of stories behind that one.
Here's a musical legacy on the inventions of Thomas Jefferson. For some reason, I cannot find what I thought was called the snake wall. Jefferson made it in a curve to show that only one brick was needed to sustain it.

I am a fan of Lloyd Price. Bought most of his singles on 45s. The group he is with in the video, Sha Na Na, often gets credited with hit songs that actually were recorded before the group was formed. Entertaining cast of folks.
I had not thought of Jefferson as an inventor. Good article about that.
@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the info about Lloyd and the music, Texas.
How interesting can this be, y'all. Today is Jack Casady's birthday and he was the bassist with JEFFERSON Airplane.

Well, I think most of us know that Poe went to the University of Virginia for one semester and then was kicked out for gambling, etc.

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by Donovan, edgar. When I saw "Fat Angel" I thought he was talking about one of those cherubs. Thanks, Texas.
Does anyone remember Howard Keel? Today is his birthday, so here is a medley of Oklahoma by the guy.

The last thing I saw Howard Keel do, he was playing JR Ewing's step father on the Dallas TV series. He was much better in Oklahoma.
