Sharif made a pretty good cowboy, too, playing opposite Gregory Peck, in McKenna's Gold.
The theme was composed by Quincy Jones and Freddie Douglas, sung by Jose Feliciano.

I have come to appreciate Bobby Charles much more today than in the past. He's very creative.

First allow me to observe wandel's comment concerning Omar's observtion concerning Peter O'Toole. Love it, buddy!

edgar, Did not know that song from McKenna's Gold, but I could hear the jazz influence by Quincy coming through that Turkey Buzzard song.

Wow! I had forgotten about Jimmy Rogers, buddy. The World I Used to know was fabulous. Thanks.

Inspired by McTag, I went searching for Johnny Mercer songs, and was surprised to find stuff by him that I was not aware of, y'all.

@McTag,
Mercer was one in a million. I believe he wrote "Skylark", "I remember You", "Laura", the English lyrices to a French song, "Autumn Leaves" , "Tangerine" and "Accentuate the Positive" - all favorites of mine and many others even better known.

@georgeob1,
Hey Georgeob, When you have a moment, click on that link and you'll see more songs by Johnny Mercer.

Rock, I loved that medley by Chet and Mark. I know both those songs, Kansas. First one is, I'll See You In my Dreams, and the second, John Lennon's Imagine. (I think)

edgar, Don't you love the Singer Ranger? Didn't know Mr. Snow's Squid Jiggin Grounds, but it was great. We'll dedicate that one to all our Canadian friends.

Here's Skylark by Johnny and Hoagy, but it's a different version replete with verse. edgar and I love K.D. Lang's version, but this one is not bad, folks.

I'm Moving On was the Hank song I always heard on the radio while growing up. That, and his Fool Such as I.

Francis, Welcome back. Hmmm, I didn't know you liked Hank Snow. Homer and Jethro did a parody on that one, but I can't find it.

Two songs for the late afternoon, y'all.

First, P.S. I love You by Lady Day.(Johnny Mercer)

Well, thought I would add another one by Walter Brennan. He always touched me, in movies and on his TV series.
