High noon, here, y'all.

Never heard Eric Clapton's "Lay Down Sally", edgar. Love it!

Bobby Darin's Hello Dolly was awesome. Never heard him do anything poorly.

Rockymoose, I'm glad that you introduced us to Al Jurreau. He is fabulous. "It's How You Say it" is a bit of philosophy in a song.

Still enjoy listening to Leon, buddy. Tight Rope is another great one.

Today is Sir Alec Guinness' birthday, so here is a tribute to him. See how many of his movies, etc. you know.

Here's another that I know and don't know why I know it, y'all.

http://www.free-animations.co.uk/birds/images/bird_13.gif

This was inspired by tsarstefan who said that a little bird told him about someone's birthday.

Dickey-Bird Song

A Dickey-bird whispered, "Haven't you heard
Spring is here, Spring is here, Spring is here."
A little crow sang a happy hello
"My favorite time of the year."
A little frog sang a song on his log
"Lose your blues, lose your blues, lose your blues."
And you and I fell in love in reply
on hearing the Dickey-bird's news.

Odd, I can hear the melody in my head

@edgarblythe,
edgar, you sent me to the archives again. I noticed that The Yardbirds did stroll on from that movie.

dj, will you name your garden plants? Some look so familiar to me, especially the one that is just starting to grow green leaves.

Love them all, however.

Here's Herbie from Blow-Up, y'all.

@djjd62,
top to bottom
violets in the lawn
not sure what the purple flower is, the fuzzy leaves you see are poppies
forsythia bush, the yellow blossoms are getting ready to pop out
the view down the long garden shows tiger lily shoots
a type of sedum, a succulent plant
daffodils against the garage wall
crocus in the lawn
more unknown flowers from the neighbours yard
crocuses in the lawn
crocuses in the garden

@djjd62,
Thanks, dj. I recognized the crocus and the daffodils remind me of Wordsworth.

"for oft when on my couch I lie in vacant or in pensive mood, they flash upon that inward eye which is the bliss of solitude; and then my heart with rapture fills and dances with the daffodils."

Yes, YES! I thought I recognized the forsythia bush! When I was a wee thing in Virginia they encircled our house. Quite often I would hide in the tunnel that they made among those yellow burst of flowers.

Another Leon, y'all

Good Leon song.
Paul Butterfield Blues Band does this one.

@edgarblythe,
Got a mind to Give Up Livin'. Don't know Paul Butterfield, edgar, but I found that he overdosed and died at age 44. I really enjoyed that song, Texas. Thanks, again for allowing us to learn here.

Speaking of learning, folks, I never heard Django, but I certainly appreciate his talent.

Noticed that George Benson did Masquerade, too.
