Good morning. No time to listen to all of the music. I am interested in the unsolved mysteries video. Will be back to check it out later today. It's going to be nice, once the morning chill is off.

@edgarblythe,
While edgar is away Eliot Ness will play. It's Robert Stack's birthday, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Sent me to the archives again, edgar, and found out that Dillinger, public enemy no.1 was among the Gang Busters by J. Edgar.

Don't forget to check out those unsolved mysteries. Some I knew; some I did not.

Saw Johnny Depp in this one.

I had watched the Unsolved Mysteries through the Zodiac killer last night. I finished it today. The tale about the Voynich manuscript is to me the most interesting. That was certainly lots of work to put into a project if it is a hoax. Maybe it was done by an ancestor to James Joyce. Smile

I plan to watch the Depp Dillinger film one day.

I stumbled across this by the Beau Brummels -

@edgarblythe,
"and the councelor don't want sissies; so he reads to us from something called Ulysses.." I got that, edgar.

I never heard of the Beau Brummels, but I liked that song. Laugh, Laugh made the point methinks.

Well, Texas, once more you inspired me to find this one. What a fop was he.

Poetry in Motion

Beau Brummel would fit well in some circles, these days, I think.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love that Poetry in Motion song.

What happens when a chicken crosses the road?

He becomes poultry in motion. Razz

Today is Horatio Alger's birthday and he was always speaking of "rags to riches",

So we'll dedicate this one to him. y'all.

One of my favorite Tony Bennett recordings.
I believe Rags to Riches was Tony's first hit, but I could be wrong.

Welcome back Mooseman. Loved that Kinks song. Dedicated Follower of Fashion fit right in with Beau.

Yep, edgar. I think that was Tony's first big hit. Love the Goodlife, buddy.

Well, all, it seems that a girl in a red dress betrayed John D. so let's hear one from Ray Charles. Loved this one.

Hey, Ray. You were supposed to sing, "...see the girl with the red dress on; she can do the dog all night long..."

Back later y'all with my goodnight song

When What'd I Say was a hit on the radio, my Mom told me to turn that hollerin off. She was pretty tolerant of most loud songs, but that one not so much.

@edgarblythe,
Maybe your mom just didn't like Ray. You reckon?

As I was telling Izzie, there is a history to this song.

Rock-a-bye, baby
In the treetop
When the wind blows
The cradle will rock
When the bough breaks
The cradle will fall
And down will come baby
Cradle and all.

Who in the world would sing that to a kid? Check it out on the Yabber thread.

Here is my goodnight song for her and the rest of us.

Mom generally liked Ray Charles. That one just struck her wrong somehow.

Good early morning, WA2K folks. Sleepless in Florida again. Watched the Year of the Locus on syfy. (the new name for ScyFi)

Dear Ray. He had his problems too. Thanks Rock and edgar.

Hey, Brit. Teddy Pendergrass is fantastic. Sorry about his death, and Bonnie and Clyde I do know. Wasn't Gene Hackman in that movie?

Incidentally, just looked at yours, Izzie's, and her sister's photo on the yabber thread. You all look fantastic. How do y'all stay so great looking?

Today is Jack Jones' birthday, so let's hear a tribute to him. Wow! what a voice.

Of course, Rock now realizes that eeyor is a donkey.
