That carol does not get played often enough.
I forget about Leslie Caron, but always like her.

Here is Robert Preston from Music Man

The Tim Burton 3-D flick doesn't come out till spring 2010, but film fans now have their first look at Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen from the upcoming "Alice in Wonderland."

The lead role of Alice will be played by 19-year-old unknown Mia Wasikowska from Australia.

Good morning WA2K folks.

Ah, edgar, now I understand. The trouble in River City was a pool table. Love it, Texas.

So, they're going to do Alice in Wonderland, are they. Trying to imagine Johnny Depp as the "mad hatter". Haven't seen a 3D movie since I was a kid.

Don't know Johnny Burnette, but his Dreamin' song was great.

Welcome back, Mooseman. That "dance" portion of your oldie reminded me of The Rockettes at radio city music hall in New York. Need to check that out.

Izzie, I love that song as well. We all need to have ourselves a "merry little Christmas".

James Blunt was great, gal, and thanks for the introduction.

A couple of songs for the morning, y'all.

First, a song from around the world.

Ah, I love Bob Marley.

and since today is Harry Chapin's birthday, a song to remember him by.

Fond memories of Birdland and The Embers. Love ya, George Shearing

I like Taxi a lot, letty. The Marley song is good, too.
I really don't think highly of that photo of Depp/Hatter

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Johnny Depp looks great (as usual) as the Mad Hatter, edgar.

Speaking of portraits, etc. This one was inspired by JLNobody's Contrapuntal abstract, y'all.

Alone Together lyrics

Alone together, beyond the crowd,
Above the world, we’re not too proud
To cling together, We’re strong
As long as we’re together.

Alone together, the blinding rain
The starless night, were not in vain;
For we’re together, and what is there
To fear together.

Our love is as deep as the sea,
Our love is as great as a love can be,
And we can weather the great unknown,
If we’re alone together.

Another Oops. Missed your other contributions, Texas. The reason that I like that one of Depp is because he is very versatile in both performance and technique.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar. You know how much I enjoy Bert Kaempfert. Yep, I remember when.

Incidentally, Thanks for your acknowledgement of Taxi and Bob Marley's song done by different countries.

@edgarblythe,
I love Chicago, edgar, but I've never heard that one by them. Thanks, buddy.

Can you believe this, folks? Eli Wallach's birthday is today and he's still doing his thing.

Guess we all familiar with this movie. Still searching for Peter Benchley's The Deep that was made into a movie starring Eli.

Eli was initially the Ugly, but Lee Van Cleef grabbed the title, leaving Eli as the Bad. Strange twist.

@edgarblythe,
I didn't know that, edgar. I never paid much attention to detail when I used to watch movies; just the plot.

How about a little Christmas spirit, y'all

@edgarblythe,
ah, edgar, I know that one. I think a ha penny is half a penny. Loved that one by Harry. The melody that I know is different, however.

How about a funny one by Chicago, Texas.
