Thanks to all of you for your contributions to WA2K radio. Wish that I could acknowledge each one, but still a little dizzy form being "...on the road again..."

Odd, today is Sean Connery's birthday, and he is a Scot that plays a Brit. I guess we have to dedicate this one to all the highlanders and Brits on A2K.

edgar, thanks for that familiar Brenda Lee song. I think I know it best by the Shirelles, however.

hey, Rock. Love that one as well by Queen, and I have forgotten when I last saw The Highlander but the meaning behind the song is obvious. Thanks for the welcome back, Kansas. No one wants to live forever. Just ask the pirates of the Carribean.

Well, y'all, today is Elvis Costello's birthday, so here is one by him.

Love that guy and Diana Krall.

@edgarblythe,
Yep, edgar. It's a nice kind of crazy, however. Love that one by Paul. Thanks, Texas.

It's Gene Simmons' birthday, and although Kiss is not my style, this one is good.

Vienna Teng

Summer move forward and stitch me the fabric of fall
Wrap life in the brilliance of death to humble us all
How sweet is the day
I'm craving a darkness
As I sit tucked away with my back to the wall

And the taste of dried-up hopes in my mouth
And the landscape of merry and desperate drought
How much longer dear angels
Let winterlight come
And spread your white sheets over my empty house

Summer move forward and leave your heat anchored in dust
Forgotten him, cheated him, painted illusions of lust
Now language escape, fugitive of forgiveness
Leaving as trace only circles of rust

And the taste of dried-up hopes in my mouth
And the landscape of merry and desperate drought
How much longer dear angels
Come break me with ice
Let the water of calm trickle over my doubts

Come let me drown
Angels no fire no salt on the plow
Carry me down
Bury me down

And the taste of dried-up hopes in my mouth
And the landscape of merry and desperate drought
Once I knew myself
And with knowing came love
I would know love again if I had faith enough
Too far is next spring and her jubilant shout
So angels, inside
Is the only way out

Sleep well, Brit, and thanks for the welcome back. Vienna Teng is amazing. Loved her music and thanks for the introduction. Bob Marley is always a treat.

edgar, I am a fan of Tom T. Thanks, buddy. Thanks for that one, Texas.

Odd, y'all. Barry the Brit plays Taiwan, and I just discovered Ravi Shankar's daughter.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I truly enjoyed that Trini Lopez song. Just looking through his performances and was surprised to discover that he did La Bamba and If I had a Hammer. Thanks, Texas.

Here's an interesting song, y'all, as done by Barb Jungr who is a lovely British chanteuse doing a Bob Dylan song.

@edgarblythe,
I love that song by Steve Miller, edgar. "....a joker and a midnight toker..." You realize what that reminded me of, right?

I have to smile, y'all, at the memory.

I remember and love that one, letty.

Ted Kennedy's passing has made me change my tune for this one song. It's The Old Revolution, by L Cohen.
