@edgarblythe,
The version on DVD of "Vertigo" is the restoration, one of the best ever done, and is from the original VistaVision print -- it's better than I remember it on the screen. Of course, one of Bernard Hermann's finest film scores is one reason why I can see that film again and again. I wouldn't date write a spoiler as it's the best twist ending not just for a Hitchcock, but any of what's become known as the psychological thriller.

Ah, Mr. Wizard how long ago we discussed Vertigo on Abuzz. The reason that it didn't do well originally is probably because Jimmy Stewart was a "bad guy" just as Henry Fonda was a "bad guy" in Once Upon a Time in the West.

Vertigo had so many surprises that it kept one on the edge of the seat to see what would happen next. Won't spoil it for edgar, but suffice it to say it IS a masterpiece.

Time for me to say good night, and I think that I shall do so with Stan Getz. Love this combination, y'all.

I have seen Vertigo. I was pointing out that I would like to see it again because it has been so long.

The Stan Getz version of that song is a good one. Don't think I heard it by him previously. I am saying good night with Steve Lawrence.

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

edgar, I knew that you said you had seen Vertigo, but didn't recall it. That's why I didn't want to be a spoiler. Thanks for the Steve and Gorme song, Texas.

Night, Brit. Thanks to you and your woosh, I can do this wonderful seagull song. Today is Richard Bach's birthday. (listened to the duo again, and all the Irish songs, incidentally). Don't seagulls ride on thermals?

Neil Diamond with Bach's Jonathan Livingstone Seagul.

Jonathin Livingston Seagull was a real phenomenon when it hit the scene, for sure. Here is a video about summer.

Ah well, I'll try not to worry.

It's Jason Mraz's birthday, and he's giving us advice.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was one of Cohen's most intriguing songs. Thanks, Texas.

Time for me to say goodnight, and this one is for Rock and his moonflower. Didn't know that the flower opens at night so that the moths can pollinate them. Please ignore the women in a state of undress, mooseman. It seems that more is pollinated than moths.

@edgarblythe,
I'm afraid after the film had been out of circulation for well over a decade due to estate problems that I did vaguely remember the end of the film. It just always fascinates me every time I see it again that it's the process Hitchcock goes through to get you there. The brilliance of cinematic genius.

@Lightwizard,
I recall being deeply impressed. I don't always love some of Hitchcock's films, but this one is great.
