And of course I have to end the day with a German song. I very much like the video, too. It shows you a bit what we looked like growing up in Germany in the sixties and seventies... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-p4ALnvkRQ

JPB, I cannot believe all those old TV themes. The Lawman (think his name was John Russell), played in Clint Eastwood's "Pale Horse; Pale Rider."

Everyone knows the Lone Ranger, gal, and Michael Landon died of pancreatic cancer just as my friend Bill did.

Yep, gal, we all watched a lot of TV. That's why some folks refer to it as "the boob tube." Now I only watch two or three shows. Saw the brand new Medium Monday night, and it was a surprise. Also saw a repeat of Without a Trace. Very sad story, incidentally.

Urs, I love Jim Croce. He looked so much like our broadcasting friend Santa Tomas e Lucas. A smile at your German song, my friend. Goodnight, honey.

I just saw Tim Holt's photo, and recalled this, folks. Bet our puppy knows it as well as our edgar.

There's a song called, "I looked for the treasure of Sierre Madre", but I cannot find it, y'all.

@djjd62,
dj, that is so tragic. What is it about creative geniuses that affects them that way?

What a talented young man, and how isolated unto himself. Reminds me of Chet Baker, in a way.

Thank you for that documentary of Nick Drake. I think everyone here can feel the sadness of his soul. I understand what it must be like to "...feel the music die..."

Well, it's time for me to say goodnight, and I think I'll do it with a Jim Croce song. He too must have been shy.

Without a Trace and Law & Order reruns are just about the only TV I watch these days too, Miss Letty.

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

JPB, I love the version of Law and Order with Sam Waterston. Thanks, gal.

Hey, Barry the Brit. Great songs by Frankie and Jools. Was that "stomp" akin to jitter bug? Thanks, buddy.

Today is Bob Marley's birthday, so let's listen to him do this one.

Wow, Barry the Brit. Didn't know there was a Ziggy Marley. Loved the song, and I agree with him that love is a great religion. Thanks, buddy.

Endy, welcome back. People were asking about you. Thanks for that one as well. It seems that this might be Marley day, y'all.

hey, edgar. Not familiar with the drummer on Buffalospringfield, but thanks for the heads up, Texas. Enjoyed that song, however.

Strange, Last night The Crow with Brandon Lee was on TV. This is gonna be one of those weird days, I guess.

Back later as I have a few things to work out with my equipment, folks.

@edgarblythe,
Well, let's see, edgar. I recognized Mel Torme(the velvet fog), The Platters, and Paul Anka.

Great video, Texas, and thanks.

Speaking of animals, does anyone remember Rip Torn in this movie?

@Letty,
And, there was Ray Anthony (biggest hit: Dragnet theme)
Dick Contino ( played accordion, got in trouble over reporting for duty during Korean war, etc.)
Jim Mitchum (brother to Robert)
plus Elinor Donahue (from Father Knows Best)
