Good morning WA2K.

The firefly zoomed in here just as I clicked the search button at Youtube for Sally Ann Howes. I taped that presentation of "A Little Night Music" from PBS and love it. Thanks for shedding a little light on a great scene, Firefly. Very Happy

Letty: I don't think the Kevin Anderson on the Send in the Clowns video is YOUR Kevin Anderson, though.

I hope this one for BD Celeb Kim Carnes gets posted before firefly waves that magic wand. Very Happy

Be back with some BD pics.

The man on the left in the video, Letty, is Kevin Anderson:

Actor:
1990s
1980s
"Great Performances" .... Performer: song 'A Weekend in the Country' from musical 'A Little Night Music' (1 episode, 1993)
- Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall (1993) TV episode .... Performer: song 'A Weekend in the Country' from musical 'A Little Night Music'
A Little Night Music (1990) (TV) .... Henrik Egerman
Africaine, L' (1988) (TV) .... Don Alvar

Soundtrack:
White Magic (1994) (writer: "Crystal Dreams", "One Night With You")
"Great Performances" (1 episode, 1993)
- Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall (1993) TV episode (performer: "A Weekend in the Country")

This is your Kevin:

As for the video. I never try to understand those videos. Laughing

Raggedy, that's not Kevin Anderson in the clip with Sally Ann Howes, it's George Lee Andrews, but Kevin Anderson was in that same production.

Here's Kevin, in Sunset Blvd.

I really liked his TV series, Nothing Sacred, but it generated too much controversy, so it was rather short lived.

Oooh. Thanks, firefly. I have the Sunset Blvd. soundtrack with Kevin Anderson and saw him in "Sleeping with the Enemy" and "Orpheus Descending" on TV . I transferred "A Little Night Music" to DVD and will watch it again to see the Kevin Anderson character. (Kevin Anderson played Henrik Egerman -
George Lee Andrews played Frederik Egerman )

But, I think (not sure though) that they might be two different Kevins.

IMDB lists:

Kevin Anderson (I) (Actor, Sleeping with the Enemy (1991))
aka "Kevin C. Anderson"

Kevin Anderson (VIII) ("Great Performances" ....
Henrik Egerman )

firefly and Raggedy, I really want to thank you both for locating MY Kevin for me.

Thanks, firefly, for that movie clip as I didn't know that Kevin Anderson was in that particular one.

After a long time searching for this one, the magic ladies have finally put the cry in Eureka! Very Happy

This is the very first movie that I saw with him and I was smitten with K.A. ever since.

Good day. I was away this AM, meeting with the owner of the apartments for which I work. It went well. Here is another song I think is great, if I don't understand a bit of it.

I'm still Confused , Letty and firefly.

The Kevin that Letty likes is listed as Kevin Anderson I.

The Kevin from TV's A Little Night Music , if you click on his name in the cast listing, is the VIII.

But, I'll think about that tomorrow. Laughing

Okay, ladies, Raggedy and I have figured out the confusion.

There are two Kevin Andersons. One is the fellow Letty likes, who is in that trailer she posted, and who was in Sunset Blvd with Patty LuPone. That's who I thought you meant. I saw this Kevin Anderson on Broadway at least 20 years ago in a play with Vanessa Redgrave, and I've always liked him too.

The other one is this tenor

http://www.kevinandjami.com/kbio.html

and he is the one who was in the 1990 NYC Opera production of A Little Night Music, playing the divinity student. He's in this clip--he has a solo toward the end and enters holding a Bible or a book.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZutBlUXUDI&feature=related

The problem is, I think, some of the bios on the internet are confusing the two Kevins and combining their work as though it were one person. I couldn't understand why the one in A Little Night Music didn't look familiar to me until I got it sorted out.

And the Broadway Data Base is listing the Kevin in Little Night Music and the Kevin in Sunset Blvd. as the same guy.

So, we're right back where we started. But, it's OK with me if it's OK with you. Laughing

Then the Broadway data base is wrong. There definitely are two different Kevins.

This bio also confuses the two Kevins, but only to the extent that they give Kevin I (Letty's Kevin) credit for a Little Night Music (which was the other Kevin). The rest seems accurate.

http://www.vh1.com/movies/person/70013/bio.jhtml

Letty's Kevin is primarily an actor. His only singing role I know of was Sunset Blvd. And that is definitely Letty's Kevin in Sunset Blvd. He's made a lot of movies and he often appears on Broadway (he just did Come Back Little Sheba) in straight plays, not musicals.

The other Kevin is a singer whose web site link I posted before, and he definitely was in the 1990 A Little Night Music. He hasn't made any movies. He's really just a singer. If you look at his photo on this web site, and then look at the clip from A Weekend in the Country, you can see that he's the Kevin who's in A Little Night music.

http://www.kevinandjami.com/kbio.html

These two guys don't even look alike. If you look at both the clips from Sunset Blvd and A Little Night Music (The Weekend in the Country) scene, that is pretty evident.

I love this discussion on our little cyber radio, folks. Someone once told me that stuff you find on the web contains a lot of crap. I think we will see that more often as time marches on.

Hey, edgar. Loved your song by that Italian, Renato. Glad your meeting went well, Texas.

Well, we could give Letty's Kevin a nom de plume. How about Robert Kennedy, because that is who he played in the movie, Hoffa.

Hey, bigislandman. Loved that one by Carlos and Eric. Reminds me of another duel song.

edgar, that was one helluva great jazz flute. Need to listen to that one again. Really good, Texas, and thanks.

Depending on my memory, now, y'all, and this one seems to be part of a duel with the devil, but I can't be certain without peeking.

Fabulous, edgar. There's always a theme in music and literature about selling one's soul to the devil. That version was superb. (liked the redneck swimming pool, too.)

Here's another from Crossroads, and note that the man who is the symbol of the devil is defeated when Willie plays classical guitar.

Well, firefly, we are allowed to have fun here on WA2K radio. That was adorable, and thanks.

Here's another, and this one is fun but realistic, too.

Been having a wee bit of trouble with the equipment in my studio.

Missed your Elvis devil, firefly. Liked that one, and thank you again.

Hope this works, folks, because I have been thinking about how many epithets "old scratch" has possessed throughout history.

How about some opera, then, hopefully with no hiccups.

Time for me to say goodnight, all.

Goodnight, honu
Goodnight, Raggedy
Goodnight, firefly
Goodnight, edgar.

Perhaps this will work without incidence. I know the song has English lyrics, but I cannot find them.

My goodnight song inspired by Kevin and the magic folks.

As always,

From Letty with love
