Rebecca De Mornay
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rebecca George (born August 29, 1961), better known as Rebecca De Mornay, is an American actress, born in Santa Rosa, California, as the daughter of Wally George. De Mornay grew up in France and went to college in the United Kingdom. She studied acting at the Lee Strasberg-Institute in New York (which also at one time included veterans Mickey Rourke, Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken). Her film debut came with a small part in Francis Ford Coppola's One from the Heart (1982), which was followed by the very successful Risky Business (1983) with Tom Cruise. That film propelled her into a short-lived period of super-stardom, which deteriorated slightly after she began taking lesser roles.
De Mornay's most successful film to date was The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992). In 2004, she guest starred as attorney Hannah Rose for the final few episodes of The Practice and the following year had a brief role alongside Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers.
In the early 1990s De Mornay was linked romantically to Leonard Cohen. She is credited as a producer and arranger on his critically acclaimed album The Future (1992).
She owns the odd distinction of having had a character in a television series been named for her: in Seinfeld episode 8.21, entitled "The Muffin Tops," and episode 9.17, entitled "The Bookstore", actress Sonya Eddy played a thrift store clerk named Rebecca De Mornay.
She is currently married to Patrick O'Neal, whose father is Ryan O'Neal. The couple has two children.

A blonde goes for a job interview and the interviewer decides to start
with the basics.
"So, miss, can you tell me your age, please?"
The blonde counts carefully on her fingers for about 30 seconds before
replying, "Ehhhh ..22!"
The interviewer tries another straightforward one to break the ice.
"And can you tell me your height, please?"
The young lady stands up and produces a measuring tape from her handbag.
She then traps one end under her foot and extends the tape to the top of
her head. She checks the measurement and announces, "Five foot two!"
This isn't looking good so the interviewer goes for the real basics.
"And just to confirm for our records, your name please?"
The blonde bobs her head from side to side for about twenty seconds,
mouthing something silently to herself, before replying, "Mandy!"
The interviewer is completely baffled at this stage, so he asks, "Just
out of curiosity, I can understand your counting on your fingers to work
out your age, and the measuring tape for your height is obvious, but
what were you doing bobbing your head when I asked you your name?"
"Oh that!" replies the blonde, "That's just me running through 'Happy
birthday to you, happy birthday to you...'"

Thanks, Bob, for all the great bio's. Aren't there any dumb red heads out there anywhere? <smile>
Well, you have answered a lot of our questions, hawkman. What is your favorite sandwich? Mine is being between two slices of info from Boston.
Incidentally, listeners. If you get a bug message, just try refreshing.
Back later to look through the celebs, folks.

Well, listeners and contributors. In a search for Isabella songs, I found a curious item. She once wore a dress of blue velvet to an Academy Award presentation, and somehow became aligned with the song Blue Velvet, but this one arose from all that configuration as well:
Evenfall
» Dark Is The Season
LISTEN TO THIS VOICE
TAKES ME TO THE DEEPEST
INNERSELF OF INNOCENCE
LET ME FLY AS HIGH AS THE
SUN LET ME FALL AS DEEP
AS HELL
LET ME FALL AS DEEP
AS HELL
THE BRIGHTNESS OF THIS
"WORD" DESTROYED MY HEARING
THE FEELING OF HEAT BURNS
INSIDE OF ME, I'M ON MY LIMITS
I'M LOST
MY CREED BELONGS TO THIS VOICE
OF TRUTH, FULL OF HATE AND LOVE
CHAOS, ILLUSION, REALITY,
NO WORDS ENOUGH.........
ALL AROUND ME THE DARKNESS,
SO BLACK, ONLY MY SOUL
SHINES NOW ON EVERITHING
AND "AVERYONE" (sic)
WITHOUT ME NO LIFE
WITHOUT ME NO FAITH
WITHOUT ME NO LIFE
WITHOUT ME NO FAITH
LISTEN TO THIS VOICE
TAKES ME TO THE DEEPEST
INNERSELF OF INNOCENCE
MY CREED BELONGS TO THIS VOICE
OF TRUTH, FULL OF HATE AND LOVE
CHAOS, ILLUSION, REALITY,
NO WORDS
NO WORDS ENOUGH, ENOUGH
NO WORDS ENOUGH, ENOUGH
CONJURO ET CONTESTOR...
LISTEN TO THIS VOICE
TAKES ME TO HE DEEPEST
INNERSELF...
Odd, no?

Good afternoon listeners, if I remember correctly, I think it was
The Night Chicago Died
Paper Lace Lyrics
Daddy was a cop on the east side of Chicago
Back in the U.S.A.
Back in the bad old days.
In the heat of a summer night
In the land of the dollar bill
When the town of Chicago died
And they talk about it still
When a man named Al Capone
Tried to make that town his own
And he called his gang to war
With the forces of the law.
I heard my Mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be
I heard my Mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a night the people saw
Yes indeed.
And the sound of the battle rang
Through the streets of the old east side
Till the last of the hoodlum gang
Had surrendered up or died
There was shouting in the street
And the sound of running feet
And I asked someone who said
"'Bout a hundred cops are dead."
I heard my Mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be
I heard my Mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a night the people saw
Yes indeed.
Then there was no sound at all
But the clock upon the wall
Then the door burst open wide
And my Daddy stepped inside
And he kissed my Mama's face
And he brushed her tears away
The night Chicago died.
I heard my Mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be
I heard my Mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a night the people saw
Yes indeed.
I heard my Mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be.
I heard my Mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died.

Hey, Try. What took you so long? Know that one, buddy, and really like it. St. Valentine's Day massacre, right?
So, folks, this must be Chicago day today.
For J-B.
My Kind Of Town
(Writers: Cahn/van Heusen)
(Performer: Frank Sinatra)
Now this could only happen to a guy like me
And only happen in a town like this
And so I say to each of you most gratefully
As I throw each one of you a kiss
This is my kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of people too
People who, smile at you
And each time I roam, Chicago is
Calling me home, Chicago is
One town that won't let you down
It's my kind of town
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of razzmatazz
And it has, all that jazz
And each time I leave, Chicago is
Tuggin' my sleeve, Chicago is
The Wrigley Building, Chicago is
The Chicago Cubbies, Chicago is
One town that won't let you down
It's my kind of town

Well, Try, I could do "Sweet Home Alabama", but I won't <smile>
I think, folks, that this was Jim's first hit:
Well the south side of chicago
Is the baddest part of town
And if you go down there
You better just beware
Of a man named leroy brown
Now leroy more than trouble
You see he stand bout six foot four
All the downtown ladies call him treetop lover
All the mens just call him sir
And its bad, bad leroy brown
The baddest man in the whole damn town
Badder than old king kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog
Now leroy he a gambler
And he like his fancy clothes
And he like to wave his diamond rings
In front of everybodys nose
He got a custom continental
He got an eldorado too
He got a 32 gun in his pocket for fun
He got a razor in his shoe
And its bad, bad leroy brown
The baddest man in the whole damn town
Badder than old king kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog
Well friday bout a week ago
Leroy shootin dice
And at the edge of the bar
Sat a girl named doris
And ooh that girl looked nice
Well he cast his eyes upon her
And the trouble soon began
And leroy brown learned a lesson
bout messin with the wife of a jealous man
And its bad, bad leroy brown
The baddest man in the whole damned town
Badder than old king kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog,
Well the two men took to fightin
And when they pulled them from the floor
Leroy looked like a jigsaw puzzle
With a couple of pieces gone
And its bad, bad leroy brown
The baddest man in the whole damn town
Badder than old king kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog

No way
I'm Dying Tomorrow
I'm dying tomorrow
This house, this street, chicago
I'm dying tomorrow
Did I do it right
Did I remember to sleep in
Take lots of pills
Commit irreversible sins
Did I at least try to kiss the prettiest girl
At the right time
Did I remember to keep your beer as full as mine
Did I remember to say cheers
Did I rat least try to make sure everybody had a good time
Had the best time
Did I remember to stay up late
Drinking for the fun
Singing for the taste
Did I run outside to kiss the rain
Under electrical skies
I'm dying tomorrow
This house, this street, chicago
I'm dying tomorrow
Did I do it right

Ah, Try. Somehow the line "did I run outside to kiss the rain under electrical skies" touched a nerve. Isn't that always the way, listeners?
This song may not be on location in Chicago, but the "pills" reminded me of "the yard bird". Why, folks? No matter. Charlie Parker left us a legacy that we will always live with.
From George Shearing to the birdman by Miss Ella:
Oh, lullaby of birdland that's what I
Always hear, when you sigh,
Never in my wordland could there be ways to reveal
In a phrase how I feel.
Have you ever heard two turtle doves
Bill and coo when they love?
That's the kind of magic music we get from our lips
When we kiss
And there's a weepy old willow
He really knows how to cry
That's how I'd cry in my pillow
If you could tell me and just say goodbye
Lullaby of birdland whisper low
Kiss me sweet, and we'll go
Flying high in birdland, high in the sky up above
All because we're in love
Lullaby, Lullaby
Have you ever heard two turtle doves
Bill and coo when they love?
That's the kind of magic music we make get from our lips
When we kiss
And there's a weepy old willow
He really knows how to cry
That's how I'd cry in my pillow
If you could tell me and just say goodbye
Lullaby of birdland whisper low
Kiss me sweet, and we'll go
Flying high in birdland, high in the sky up above
All because we're in love

Artist: Eddie Fisher
Song: Count Your Blessings
Album:
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS (Instead of Sheep)
Eddie Fisher/Rosemary Clooney/Bing Crosby
(Irving Berlin)
from the 1954 movie "White Christmas".
When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

don't fall asleep yet

Well, hamburger, I remember Eddie. Wasn't he married to Liz at one time? <smile>
I didn't realize that he did that song, Canada. Where's our dj, anyway?
Here's one I remember:
Eddie Fisher Lyrics - Oh! My Papa (o Mein Papa) Lyrics
OH, MY PA-PA
Eddie Fisher
Oh, my pa-pa, to me he was so wonderful
Oh, my pa-pa, to me he was so good
No one could be, so gentle and so lovable
Oh, my pa-pa, he always understood.
Gone are the days when he could take me on his knee
And with a smile he'd change my tears to laughter
Oh, my pa-pa, so funny, so adorable
Always the clown so funny in his way
Oh, my pa-pa, to me he was so wonderful
Deep in my heart I miss him so today.

My favorite Eddy Fisher, parent of Carry Fisher with Debby Reynolds ;
Cindy, oh Cindy
Cindy, oh Cindy
Cindy don't let me down
Write me a letter soon
And I'll be homeward bound
I joined the Navy to see the world
But nowhere could I find
A girl as sweet as Cindy
The girl I left behind
I've searched the wide world over
Can't get her out of my mind
Cindy, oh Cindy
Cindy don't let me down
Write me a letter soon
And I'll be homeward bound
I see her face in every wave
Her lips kiss every breeze
Her loving arms reach out to me
Through calm and stormy sea
At night I face the lonely day
Caressed by memories
Cindy, oh Cindy
Cindy don't let me down
Write me a letter soon
And I'll be homeward bound
I know my Cindy's waiting for me
As I walk the decks alone
Her loving arms reach out to me
Soon I'll be heading home
Then my sailing days will be over
No more will I roam
Cindy, oh Cindy
Girl, Oh don't you let me down
Write me a letter, soon
And I'll be homeward bound

Wonderful, edgar. Didn't Carrie write "Postcards from the Edge?"
Somehow, your song reminded me of this one, Texas.
Barry Manilow:
I remember all my life
Raining down as cold as ice
A shadow of a man
A face through a window
Crying in the night
The night goes into
Morning, just another day
Happy people pass my way
Looking in their eyes
I see a memory
I never realized
you made me so happy, oh Mandy
Well you came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away, oh Mandy
well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
I need you today, oh Mandy
I'm standing on the edge of time
I Walked away when love was mine
Caught up in a world of uphill climbing
The tears are in my mind
And nothing is rhyming, oh Mandy
Well you came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away, oh Mandy
well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you today, oh Mandy
Yesterday's a dream I face the morning
Crying on the breeze
the pain is calling, oh Mandy
Well you came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away, oh Mandy
well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you today, oh Mandy

There is a new thread titled
Skewed Song Lyrics About A2K Members. Here is my offering posted there tonight.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three Times a letty
Thanks for the times
That youve given me
The memories are on WA2K
And now that weve come
To the end of our rainbow
Theres something
I must say out loud
Youre once, twice
Three times a letty
Yes youre once twice
Three times a letty
And we love you
When on the radio
The moments I cherish
With every beat of my heart
To hear the songs that touch me
To feel them to request them
Theres nothing to keep us apart
Youre once twice
Three times a letty
And we love you
We love you

Good morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.
edgar, I cannot convey to you the delight that I felt when I heard your altered song lyrics. It was just the lift that I needed today. That, combined with a weakened Ernesto, have brought light into my rather darkened life. Thank you, Texas.
And here is one for all of you with apologies to Rod and Van:
Have I told y'all lately that I love you
Have I told y'all there's no one else above you
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what y'all do
For the morning sun and all its glory
Meets the day with hope and comfort too
y'all fill my life with laughter, somehow you make it better
Ease my troubles, that's what y'all do
There's a love that's defined
And it's yours and it's mine like the sun
And at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray to the one, to the one
Have I told y'all lately that I love you
Have I told y'all there's no one else above you
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what y'all do.

Good morning. All I wanna say is
Have A Nice Day
BON JOVI LYRICS
Why, you wanna tell me how to live my life?
Who, are you to tell me if it's black or white?
Mama, can you hear me? Try to understand.
Is innocence the difference between a boy and a man.
My daddy lived the lie, it's just the price that he paid.
Sacrificed his life, just slavin' away.
Ohhh, if there's one thing I hang onto,
That gets me through the night.
I ain't gonna do what I don't want to,
I'm gonna live my life.
Shining like a diamond, rolling with the dice,
Standing on the ledge, I show the wind how to fly.
When the world gets in my face,
I say, Have A Nice Day.
Have A Nice Day
Take a look around you; nothing's what it seems
We're living in the broken home of hopes and dreams,
Let me be the first to shake a helping hand.
Anybody brave enough to take a stand,
I've knocked on every door, on every dead end street,
Looking for forgiveness,
what's left to believe?
Ohhh, if there's one thing I hang onto,
That gets me through the night.
I ain't gonna do what I don't want to,
I'm gonna live my life.
Shining like a diamond, rolling with the dice,
Standing on the ledge, I show the wind how to fly.
When the world gets in my face,
I say, Have A Nice Day.
Have A Nice Day.
[Guitar Solo]
Ohhh, if there's one thing I hang onto,
That gets me through the night.
I ain't gonna do what I don't want to,
I'm gonna live my life.
Shining like a diamond, rolling with the dice,
Standing on the ledge, I show the wind how to fly.
When the world gets in my face,
I say, Have A Nice Day.
Have A Nice Day.
Have A Nice Day.
Have A Nice Day.
Have A Nice Day.
When The world keeps trying, to drag me down,
I've gotta raise my hands, gonna stand my ground.
Well I say, Have A Nice Day.
Have A Nice Day
Have A Nice Day

Hey, I'm thinking Hawaii today. this has been played here before, folks, but let's do it again.
CHRIS ISAAK Song Lyrics
Sweet Leilani
(From the album "BAJA SESSIONS")
Sweet Leilani, heavenly flower oh.
I dreamt of paradise for two. (My lovely Leilani)
You are my paradise completed. (My lovely Leilani)
You are my dream come true.
Sweet Leilani, heavenly flower oh,
Tropic skies are jealous while they shine. (My lovely Leilani)
I think they're jealous of your blue eyes. (My lovely Leilani)
Jealous because you're mine.
I think they're jealous of your blue eyes. (My lovely Leilani)
Jealous because you're mine.
Sweet Leilani, heavenly flower oh,
Nature's fashion roses kissed with dew. (My lovely Leilani)
And then she placed them in a bower. (My lovely Leilani)
It was the start of you.
My lovely Lei-lan-i.

Sheesh, three hours of Leilan, I am having a Ground Hog
Have A Nice Day
Stereophonics Lyrics
Ba badada ba ba babadub,
Ba badada ba ba babadub,
Ba badada ba ba babadub,
Ba badada ba ba babadub,
San Francisco bay, past pier thirty nine,
Early p.m. can't remember what time,
Got the waiting cab, stopped at the red light,
Address unsure of, but it turned out just right,
It started straight off, "coming here is hell"
That's his first words, we asked what he meant,
He said "where ya' from?" we told him our lot,
"When ya' take a holiday, is this what you want?"
So have a nice day,
Have a nice day,
Have a nice day,
Have a nice day,
Lie around all day, having drink to chase,
"Yourself and tourists yeah, that's what I hate",
He said "we're going wrong, we've all become the same,
We dress the same ways, only our accents change",
So have a nice day,
Have a nice day,
Have a nice day,
Have a nice day,
Heeeeeeeeeeeyyyy,
Heeeeeeeeeeeyyyy,
Ba badada ba ba babadub,
Ba badada ba ba babadub,
Swim in the ocean, that be my dish,
I drive around all day, and kill processed fish,
Its all money gum, no artists anymore,
You're only in it now, to make more, more, more,
