Ragman, we follow the same format as a real radio station would have. Actually, buddy, almost anything goes.

Music; op. ed's; discussions; interviews, etc. Just very happy that you have become a part of our virtual studio.

I would like to acknowledge all of our contributors:

Thanks to edgar for his Willie Nelson and Raggedy for her editing. <smile>Another salute to our Mr. Turtle, as we call him, who is also our resident M.D.

Bob the hawkman is a delightful part and his funny story of customer service is soooooo true. Thanks, Boston.

Raggedy will be along shortly to depict what Bob has written, and those photo's we tack up on our bulletin board. Razz

Good morning all.

I'm wondering if Ragman is a distant relative.

Ragman: Bob's bios and my pictures relate to an individual who had/has a birthday on the day we post.

Bob: The customer service story is hilarious.

for some reason my pictures aren't taking today. I guess I'll just have to try again later.

Have a great day.

I think, by now, Ragman has gotten the inside info on our little radio, and realize that he and Raggedy may be kit and kin. <smile>

I read the book, Roots, by Alex Haley, and truly enjoyed it. Also saw the mini series, but don't remember much of it, I'm afraid. Such a pity that he was sued for his having made fact of fiction.

Following the theme, folks:

Bob Marley
» Roots

Roots Natty roots
Dread Binghi dread
I and I are the roots
Some are the dry wood

Fe catch up the fire
Whoa, Lo ok at that
They need some dry wood
To cook up the raw food
Whoa, look at that

I got to survive
Inna dis man maniac downpression
Got to survive
In iration, yeah
Roots Natty roots
Dread Binghi dread
Remember that I and I are the roots
Some are wolf
Inna sheep's clothing
Whoa, look at that
Many are called
But only a few are chosen
Whoa, look at that
Nothing that dividers can do
Can't seperate us from our father
Whoa, look at that
You see, blood is thicker than water
Whoa, look at that

Got to survive
inna disyah ghetto, yeah
Roots Natty roots
Dread Binghi dread
Remember that I and I are the roots
Roots Natty roots
Dread Binghi dread
Whoa, I and I are the roots
Some are leaves
While some are branches
But remember I and I are the roots
Some are dry wood
Fe catch up the fire
Whoa, look at that

Got to survive
Inna dis man maniac downpression
Got to survive
In iration
Roots Natty roots
Dread Binghi dread
Hey, I and I are the roots
Ooh we, roots Natty roots
Dread Binghi dread
Oh Yeah, I and I are the roots.

Great song, right?

Hello! Where did everyone go? Today is John<oldandknew>'s birthday, so this is for him:

FRANK SINATRA Song Lyrics

A Foggy Day
(From the album "SONGS FOR YOUNG LOVERS SWING E")

A foggy day,
in London town,
it had me low,
and it had me down
I viewed the morning,
with much alarm,
the British Museum,
had lost its charm
How long I wondered,
could this thing last,
but the age of miracles,
it hadn't past
And suddenly,
I saw you standing right there
And in foggy London town,
the sun was shining everywhere

Happy Birthday, Brit.

Bad boys
Whatcha want, watcha want
Whatcha gonna do
When Sheriff John Brown come for you
Tell me
Whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do
Yeaheah

CHORUS:
Bad boys, bad boys
Whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do
When they come for you
(Repeat)

When you were eight
And you had bad traits
You go to school
And learn the golden rule
So why are you
Acting like a bloody fool
If you get hot
You must get cool

CHORUS

You chuck it on that one
You chuck it on this one
You chuck it on your mother and
You chuck it on your father
You chuck it on your brother and
You chuck it on your sister
You chuck it on that one and
You chuck it on me

CHORUS
(Repeat)

Nobody naw give you no break
Police naw give you no break
Soldier naw give you no break
Not even you 'idren naw give you no break
Hey hey

CHORUS
(Repeat)

Why did you have to act so mean
Don't you know you're human being
Born of a mother with the love of a father
Reflections come and reflections go
I know sometimes you want to let go
Hey hey hey
I know sometimes you want to let go

Bad boys, bad boys
Whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do
When they come for you
(Repeat)
(You're too bad, you're too rude)
(You're too bad, you're too rude)
Bad boys, bad boys
Whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do
When they come for you
(Repeat)

(Repeat)

You chuck it on that one
You chuck it on this one
You chuck it on your mother and
You chuck it on your father
You chuck it on your brother and
You chuck it on your sister
You chuck it on that one and
You chuck it on me

CHORUS
(repeat 'til the end)

Yitwail -- very good

Bad boys
Whatcha want, watcha want
Whatcha gonna do
When Sheriff John Brown come for you
Tell me
Whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do
Yeaheah

--------------------------------------

Sheriff John Brown always hated me
For what I don't know
Every time that I plant a seed
He said, "Kill it before it grows"
He said, "Kill it before it grows"
I say:

I shot the sheriff, but I swear it was in self-defense
I shot the sheriff, but I swear it was in self-defense

Laughing Well, Raggedy, we need to play a song for that guitar. What a great surprise, Brit.

Maybe John's wife will say:

A smokey room a small café
They come to hear you play
And drink and dance the night away
I sit out in the crowd
And close my eyes
Dream to mind
But you don't know
You don't even know that I'm there

I wish that I was in your arms
Like that Spanish guitar
And you would play me through the night
Till the dawn
I wish you'd hold me in your arms
Like that Spanish guitar
And you would play me through all night long
All night long I'd be your song, I'd be your song

Fill my heart with
Every note you play
I pray you'll look my way
And hold me to your hear someday, yeah
I long to be the one that
You caress with a tenderness
And you don't know
You don't even know that I exist

I wish that I was in your arms
Like that Spanish guitar
And you would play me through the night
Till the dawn
I wish you'd hold me in your arms
Like that Spanish guitar
All night long
All night long I'd be your song, I'd be your song

Te sientes inteligente
Cierras tus ojos
Y suenes que soy tuyo
Pero yo no se
Ni si quiera que estas aqui

Me gustaria tenerte en mis brazos amor

I sit out in the crowd
And close my eyes
Dream to mind
And you don't know
You don't even know that I exist, oh

I wish that I was in your arms
Like that Spanish guitar
And you would play me through the night
Till the dawn
I wish you'd hold me in your arms
Like that Spanish guitar
Wish that I was in your arms
Like that Spanish guitar
All night long
All night long I'd be your song
(Seria tu cancion)

I'll be your song, your song, your song
I'll be your song, yeah
I'll be your song, your song, your song
Play me all night long
I'll be your song, your song, your song
I'll be your song, yeah
I'll be your song, your song, your song
I wanna be your song
I'll be your song, your song, your song
I'll be your song, yeah
I'll be your song, your song, your song
Hold me baby all night long

Win Or Lose
Status Quo Lyrics

Win or lose, lose or win
I ain't ever doing that again
Keeping out and never creeping in
No I ain't ever doing that again
I know I've done some silly things
But I ain't ever doing that again
No I ain't ever doing that again

Sailed away to foreign place
Not so far or hard to trace
I didn't wanna know
Knowing I had to go
Left my place of residence
Down the drive and past the fence
I'm coming back again
Wish I could tell you when
I never been away so long before
Surley now I must be sure

Win or lose, lose or win
I ain't ever doing that again
Keeping out and never creeping in
No I ain't ever doing that again
I know I've done some silly things
But I ain't ever doing that again
No I ain't ever doing that again

Got to one place really fine
Getting out to quite a time
A little trouble there
I didn't seem very fair
Tried to go we had a fight
So they made us stay the night
And it was harassing
Very embarrassing
That's another place that I have seen
A place I wish I haven't been

Win or lose, lose or win
I ain't ever doing that again
Keeping out and never creeping in
No I ain't ever doing that again
I know I've done some silly things
But I ain't ever doing that again
No I ain't ever doing that again
I ain't ever doing that again
No I ain't ever doing that again
