Hi Pauline70

Are you asking what your chances are of immigrating or if there are jobs for dental nurses?

I know Perth well - happy to give you some tips on places to live etc

Thanks for replying West Coaster. I have visited Perth and would like to know realistically what my chances are of immigrating there from UK. I don't think I have sufficient points so would like to hear from someone who might be willing to sponsor me as an employee (unlikely) or grant a working visa or exchange of some kind. I am aware that there are some Dental Nursing jobs available but thery may not pay sufficient for me to live reasonably.

Thank you msolga.

I have looked at the website and at 49 without recognised "Specialist skills" I doubt my chances of immigrating to Oz. I am trying to do a "Shirley Valentine" and escape to what I see as a bright new life but perhaps the grass always seems greener elswhere...........

London Girl for Aussie Man ?
If I marry an Australian man am I entitled to remain living in Oz ? Question Idea It might seem an extreme option but at 49 I am not yet totally undesireable and feel I could offer something in return to a relationship. How long would I have to stay married?

I don't know how long you'd have to stay married, Pauline. Laughing But my understanding is that the spouse of an Australian citizen is entitled to stay here. A friend of mine married a Vietnamese man last year & he's eligible to apply for Australian citizenship soon. The Oz migration authorities would be able to give you exact details.

You should be able to move over here Pauline. There are heaps of english people here and especially in Perth. You will be very well received. I admire what you are doing. It takes a lot of courage to move from one country to another. Well done!

With the marrying an australian, Australia is one of the few countries that recognise de facto relationships for immigration purposes. So, as long as you can prove it is a bona fide relationship, then that is enough. So, if you have a relationship with an australian guy, keep any letters or emails etc with dates.

Don't just rely on what you hear here, Pauline. Check with the Oz Department of Immigration.

Hi, you guys really seem to know your stuff! I was wondering if you could help me. I have dual citizenship (British and Australian) but am unsure whether that would make me eligible to study in Australia as a domestic student.

Does anyone know? It would be great to get cheaper fees and I love Australia so can't think of anywhere I'd rather study!

Thank you.

Austalian dentist in London
Can anyone recommend an Australian dentist in London for me? I have just returned to London, and would rather have a dentist who has been trained in Oz.
