BBB, I think many of us saw that 60 minute special on the US program to recruit nurses from South Africa. I also have a physican friend in Tanzania, who was offered a job in the states. He asked me for my opinion, so I provided it. Essentially, I told him that I had an ethical problem with our recruitment of medical caregivers from other countries where they are needed most. However, I told him that if I were in his shoes, I'd probably accept the offer to improve my families life. It's a difficult dilemma for the medical caregivers who are unable to provide a bare lifestyle in their own country, but knowing that moving to the US will improve their lives dramatically. I told my friend he needs to make that choice. c.i.
