** Thanksgiving Turkey Riddle **
Chicken George gave Guthrie Goose as many Turkeys as Guthrie Goose started out with.
Guthrie Goose then gave Chicken George back as much as Chicken George had left.
Chicken George then gave Guthrie Goose back as many Turkeys as Guthrie Goose had left, which left Chicken George Turkey-less, and gave Guthrie Goose a total of 80 Turkeys.
How many Turkeys did Chicken George and Guthrie Goose have at the beginning of their exchange?
I know that Guthrie is not that smart, because I heard George say to him:
"If you guess how many turkeys I have in this bag, I will give you one and keep the other for myself."
And Guthrie said: "Ahhh...five?"
Just listened to a smarter Guthrie sing Alice's Restaurant. A Thanksgiving tradition in our house.
His name is Arlo.
Chicken George had 50 ... the Guthrie Goose had 30 in the beginning.
