What are the main industries in Mexico? Are companies currently investing in the Mexican market?
I think it's the other way around.
Mexico's GDP was 687.8 billion dollars in 2004. Brazil's (with almost double the population) was 578.2 billion.
Mexico signed the Free Trade treaty (NAFTA) with the US and Canada in 1994, and is the US second trade partner.
Direct foreign investment (net) in Mexico was 16.6 billion dollars in 2004.
Overall investment (foreign and domestic) grew 14% during last year.
Main industries: automobile, machine ensambling, cement, chemicals, aerospace, mining and, of course, oil.
