100 gold coins lie on a table, you are allowed to take 1-6 coins off of the table, your opponent then follows, and so forth. The person that takes the last coin off of the table gets to keep them all. You get to go first.

Is there a strategy that will assure that you get to keep all of the coins?

Take 2 coins. After that, if the opponent takes N coins, take 7-N coins.
