John comes home from work every day by train. He gets to the train station at 5 p.m., and from there, his wife picks him up in the car. One day Joe arrived at the station at 4 p.m. and decided to start walking and meet his wife somewhere between the train station and home. His wife drove the car as usual, met him on the road before reaching the station, and took him home.
That day, they got home 20 minutes earlier.
Question: How long had Joe been walking?
Hi Tiger, good riddle. I am no good at math, so I had to walk the same journey as John. As I do not have a watch, I counted my steps and I took 3000. Each one took one second. I hope that helps.
I must say, Tryagain, that I enjoy every one of your posts, your riddles and answers to them....very creative.
hey
i'm a new one
i think 20 minutes
20 minutes was cut from the wife's round trip - 10 minutes in each direction. Therefore, she met him at 4:50 - 10 minutes earlier than usual. He walked from 4:00 to 4:50 - 50 minutes.
