LONDON, England (Reuters) -- A new X-ray machine at London's Heathrow airport, which sees through passengers' clothes, has been attacked by civil liberties campaigners as a "voyeur's charter."
The machine uses low-level radiation to see through clothing, producing an anatomically detailed black and white image of the body underneath.

Oh, no, can it detect cellulite?
seems it can detect whatever one has under their clothes
My underwire bra set off a metal detector once.
They had me empty my pockets, beep-beep-beep, then take off my shoes, beep-beep-beep, so this woman is waving the detector around my chest and giving me funny looks, then it occured to me what it was. I said "it's my bra, honest". I was seconds away from having to go in the "special" room. She let me go, I must have an honest face.
Not so funny is when the little wand they wave over the body gives feedback. It happened to my husband, and it was his pacemaker. Not too long after that, he had to get a new one. They had no warning sign posted, either.
Letty
Did the wand damage his pacemaker?
paula, It must have, because within two weeks or so, his pulse dropped to 30 beats per minute. Had it not been for my son, he would most certainly would have died.
Because of the stainless steel rods in both legs, I set off airport alerts. More embarassing, I trigger the alarms at the local library. At this point, the librarians let me circumvent the evil eye. Librarians like quiet.
I think we should all stay away from thing's that go beep.
