Hi all -
I joined this forum coz there were good responses so hopefully I'll get some too!
I've got a 2nd interview for a job in Chatswood and if I get it I'd have to start in January - so haven't got a lot of time to research places for us (my husband, 2yr old and 4yr old) to go.
I'm looking for (in priority order):
1) <40mins drive from Chatswood
2) near a GOOD primary school
3) near a beach
Must be a detached house with pref 4 beds.
So I don't want much huh? :wink:
Any advice would be good. Was thinking Collaroy, Dee Why, Avalon etc but don't know much about them or how far (other than Avalon is supposed to be idyllic!)

The closest surf beach to Chatswood is Dee Why/Long Reef.
In terms of access to drive to Chatswood, you might be better off looking at Cromer or Brookvale. Collaroy isn't quite close enough, but you would still find some great places to live along the beach there to Narrabeen (where I used to live).
As there is only one crossing of the Lane Cove River (at Roseville) you only have one way to get to the Beaches from the North Shore. If you want to consider Middle Harbour (Clontarf), then this opens up a few suburbs.
Well if you have a limit with in 40 minutes drive of Chatswood, you virtually have all of the north shore beaches to choose from.
