Alright, here's the riddle. It is really bugging me!!

A word that has 8 letters, and everytime you take a letter away it is still a word. Ex: Adam
dam
am
a
Only it has to be 8 letters long. And it doesn't matter where you take the letter from, it still makes a word Smile

Hmm, I can think of some that work if you are allowed to rearrange the letters when you remove one (example: painters), but I guess those words don't work. So, I'll think about it a bit more. Maybe I'll find a suitable word.
