Edit [Moderator]: Moved from History to South America.
I'm currently reading a 400 page study of Argentine history by Professor David Rock at UC Santa Barbara and it left me wondering about something. In the middle of the book, when it discusses immigration, it says that by 1914, 30% of the Argentine population was foreign born as compared to a foreign born population of 13% in the United States at the time. This is amazing to me, that some of these people are still alive and that Argentina is so freshly mixed. Are there any other countries that have such a freshly mixed population?
In Australia's last census (2001) 72.6% responded they were Australian born - presumably the remaining 27.4% were born overseas, though I'm not sure what the stats are saying:

You're being to ambiguous. What do you mean by "mixed?"
Mixed as in black, indian and white and whatever else??
