Mold in air-ducts - is this normal?

Hi, I have lived in this apartment for about 9 months now. After 2 months of living here we noticed the mold in the air ducts and we noticed mold grows very rapidly in the apartment unit in general. If we put a table over the cabinet in the kitchen mold will grow there. We change those towels regularly (1-2 weeks) We had a command hook holding a towel in the bathroom that touched the wall and mold grew behind it. We also had mold grow in a cup with water in it in around a week. Also, a drip tray under my espresso machine that had coffee grounds and liquid grew a ton of mold in it in about a week and a half.
Management of the complex had a air-duct service provider come out to address the mold in the air ducts. He brushed the mold and vacuumed it simultaneously then sprayed it with a primary type paint. Was this appropriate treatment? Did he spread mold spores into things like our mattress? Does it sound like we have a mold issue beyond just some random mold in the front of the air-ducts. The air-duct guy insisted the mold was from condensation.

Here are some pictures of the air-ducts:

Thank you!
