My cat has been missing for 10 days. He is micro-chipped, desexed but no collar. Unlikely to be hit by a car. Is it still possible he could come home? He is only 1 year old. An inside/outdoor cat and used to come home every night
@Puddy9,
Longest I've had one missing is about a day and a half. I've heard stories of them returning after much longer ramblings, though. Good luck.
@Puddy9,
I had one gone for three or four days once. She looked worn out and bedraggled when she returned too, as well as relieved to be home. I never did figure out what happened.
I wish you and your cat luck.
My shorthair tabby went missing in July 1994, and still has not returned.
@centrox,
Cen you provide the most delightful responses
@Puddy9,
I once had a cat who went missing for about ten days, but it's not unknown for cats to turn up much later.
Quote:A family has had an emotional reunion with their cat six years after it left the house.
Jo and Ade Haigh had all but given up on their black and white pet, Charlie, who was nine when he left the house in Fareham, Hampshire, in 2006.
However, Mrs Haigh spotted the cat when she was out walking and was able to verify that it was Charlie thanks to a microchip that had been fitted to him.

@dalehileman,
Thank you heaps for that, I need all the positive information I can get!
@Puddy9,
I had one disappear for a week.
And one for a month.
I never personally owned a cat. So? My cat has been gone missing for 45 years (give or take an extra leap day)?
