What do you think is the correct level of looseness or tightness for a man's butt in pants/shorts?

I understand most women do not like pants or shorts that are actually so loose they are not even on the man's butt. However, what do you think the correct balance is.

I am mainly looking for women's opinions here but anyone can answer. Please state your gender so I know what opinions belong to men and what belong to women.
