The Leader of the Free World
A dialogue.
The gods, certainly not an unfriendly lot, cast forth their opinions one by one.
"I think it shows potential."
"But to whose benefit? We know who we are, how do they determine the "what" of themselves?"
"Don't any of you think this is a rather odd approach?"
"Of course, but then, creativity was not meant to be static."
"What if they blame us for their own mess? We certainly would have not had hand in the matter."
"Methinks you love too much. Your heart is well noted. Love does not consider its own reward - only its obligation to fulfill itself - more so, it is free."
"True love - an amazing created concept. On the one side of life, there is the true love of the blind, and on the other side is the true love with blinders on. The difference is not between the two but that which is separate from both."
"That is the reason for the whole experiment - to allow them to find that difference."
"But if they don't recognize true love for what it is, how will they ever begin to look for it?"
"Encourage them but leave them alone. If one is forced to love, is the result then, love? Don't be angry, and do not interfere except in rare instances. Time will tell. How they use that time will be their own folly or their freedom. That is the choice of this creation."
The other gods, understanding and not wanting to debase that reply, simply smiled.
======================
"Is knowledge essential?"
"With the love given them, they will know that answer also - or not. That too is the freedom offered."
"Which knowledge is essential? The knowledge of truth or the knowledge of life?"
"The knowledge of life is essential for living, the knowledge of truth is essential for life."
"But how will they know the difference?"
"Hopefully, by examples."
"Can they both exist at the same time?"
"Of course - that is the whole idea behind this created life form."
"How is that possible?"
Again, the other gods simply smiled.
After an indeterminate period of time, one god said,
"What if they never learn? What if some do and some don't? How long will this continue?"
"Which question would you like answered first?"
"The first one first. The second one second and the third one third."
"If they never learn, then is their existence never brought to memory."
"And the second answer?"
"Those that do learn the difference must decide how best to utilize the answer. That is the freedom of the created life. Those that do not learn the answer exist in their own folly. We will not be responsible for their lack."
"And the last answer?"
"Until the time of the time."
"I'm concerned of those who do not learn the answer. Is it fair to simply wipe them out of life's memory entirely? To me, this would not be "our" type of love."
"Of course it would not be fair. Time is involved with them. It will be the only shackle on them. Of one side of their existence, the knowledge of living would enable them to either learn or compound their lives. Again, that is their choice. On the other side of their existence, the knowledge of life will free them from the shackle of time."
"Then the time of love is opposite the time of living?"
"Exactly."
"How so? Are not life and living the same?"
"Not quite. Life is the breath of eternity. Living is the breath of existence."
"Then how are they opposite yet still the same?"
"Living for the cause of living results in momentary moments. Living for the cause of life results in eternity. For this reason are they given breath in the time allotted. Thus, are they opposite yet the same."
"How will they know to even attempt to distinguish between these two "causes"?
"That is the reason for emotion."
"Emotion. Interesting. You allow them "cause" to be like us?"
"Yes. How else will a created entity learn of the truth between living and life?"
"But surely we would not allow negative emotion rule over the positive emotions?"
"Only in the cases of learning the truth."
"What of those who are affected by the negative yet not responsible for the negative?"
"Yes, how can you be so sure of that?
"Did I not say that, ?'The knowledge of living would enable them to either learn or compound their lives'? Those unlearned are obligated, under the shackle of time, to learn. Their acceptance of that obligation will be their path to freedom or become a shackle, with time, that gets heavier with more shackles in the passage of time.
"Allow me to ask you a question in turn - If then, the shackle of the unlearned is not readily accepted, would it be fair to take that burden off them, while those who eagerly and earnestly do learn struggle to learn? Would this then, be the fairness of true love?"
"You are correct. The fairness of love is paramount in living."
"Yes, and also life."
========================
"What about their relationship to us? Should we not desire them to learn of our love for them?"
"Of course, but remember, ?'If one is forced to love, is the result then, love?' Love will be the softest of their emotions, yet at the same time the strongest. Because of this unique quality, love is the gem of living as well as life."
"Look there to the walls. Are not the far walls truly made of these type gems? Of the agate of love; Of the pearls of truth; Of the diamonds of patience; Of the rubies of faith, Of the jades of honesty; Of the gold of justice and the rest? They surround us in all their glory to remind us of the true quality of life and the living within that life that is possible to every one."
"Which gem would you consider the most precious?"
"The one of not just gold, but of refined gold. Gold is rare but still in abundance. Refined gold tests not only the patience and stability of the character it also cleanses and lays the foundation for the building of the other gems atop it. Chief of which is the gem of love."
"Ah, true gems they are and a true gem wisdom is."
=========================
"Speak to me of joy."
"In what way? In that joy is a desired multiple of itself? You must be more specific."
"Yes, I know when one has joy, more of it is desired, but how does it reconcile itself into the plan of creation?"
"It is a time of respite from the lessons of life."
"How best is that time utilized with joy?"
"Momentary joy such as laughter and humor are regarded with delight. It eases the pain, as some regard, of living. More regarded is the joy of creation. Yet in and of itself is incomplete without sharing the composition of not only the joy but the recognition of where that joy derives itself.
Of utmost is the joy we have among us here. Being in the mere presence is joy in and of itself, but that certainly does not disallow for the other concepts of respite."
"Why not?"
"A rock and a tree as well as some animals feel joy, but it is to their nature to relish in it. Such as they are. The created ones of our concern in this discussion, are not of such creation, and never will be, however, if one were to embellish oneself into everlasting joy without living the life they breath daily, they may as well become a rock or a tree."
"And since we are not rocks, trees and animals, we also share in laughter, correct?"
"Exactly."
"Then as one said, ?'There is a time and a purpose under heaven for everything?"
"Yes."
"I know that laughter and humor are not the only expressions of joy, and that there is respite also in music, dance and the construction continued within many other forms, but cannot these all be experienced?"
"Of course. So what is the real question?"
"Why can one not enjoy the experience of joy for the length of time they are there?"
"Although desired by all of us and some of them, they are in the position to be wary of those who do not. For such ignorance is where damage may be done, to the dismay of joy and their lives, and the planting of the seed of doubt within."
Â…And the other gods smiled.
===========================
"Why is it necessary for them to leave their bodies to return another time?"
"Two reasons - First, In that they return here to refresh, correct and remind themselves of the reason they are there, and secondly, Since all of that which is being created and up until its completion, it is necessary to change or alter this or that. Within creation, as the alteration takes place, some elements must be disregarded in order for creation to complete itself. "
"Then we can dispense with justice?"
"No. It is an elemental part of life and death."
"How so?"
"In that in some cases it is delivered to them, to others it is remanded of them."
"Then how is it possible to have love when justice intervenes with death?"
"Remember you asked - "Which knowledge is essential? The knowledge of truth or the knowledge of life? And I answered, "The knowledge of life is essential for living, the knowledge of truth is essential for life?"
"Yes, I remember."
"Then living, being the cause of life, results in eternity, and since love created life, why not live with joy and justice and the knowledge derived from them? Therefore, love is possible - nay, imminent - with justice and death.
"But are not some deaths more untimely than others?"
"There is no such thing as an "untimely death," and for that matter, there is no such thing as an "accident." All are done either by us or by their own hands, for one reason or another."
"But what if they are not aware of this?"
"That is where the knowledge of living and life enter. Comparing one to another can only result in love beyond their dimension."

The answer to that question was the beginning of life on Earth.
Of one particular note in establishing life, was whether or not the prime example near the end of the experiment was capable of inspiring the rest of created life.
That prime example became the leader of the "free world" - but did the leader's prime example pave the way for the world to be "free" enough to be free" to find it?

Welcome, truemale, to A2K!
Ehem, do you want to discuss the above, did I miss a question or did you just post an (your) opinion?
what part of the "above" were you referring to?
"Of course. So what is the real question?"
Non specific. Just asking.
Oh well, then...maybe I can start something...
I "overheard" the above posting and wrote it down VERBATIM.
Peace be with you.
T.
The question that has hounded mankind since the beginning....
"Why is there life on earth?"
T.
Peace be with you
Hi,truemale,
Glad you made it in to A2K.
This piece is quite esoteric, but then so are all religious subjects. I like it, however. because the very "arcaneness" is intriguing.
Hope to see more of you here.
Hi Letty...and tu for the invite, by the way.
Arcane? Nah...it's quite in the open, really.
The so-called mysteries of life are NOT hidden, they are just "unknown..."
T.
Who is James A. Eisweirth ?
well, truemale. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, I guess.
Better answer huckster.
HUsker...
"Yours truly..."
T.
Why is there life on earth?
Some people ask why. I ask WHYNOT!
Aha! The name and an earlier conversation today gave you away. Welcome to a2k.
